Very nice rob84, things have moved on nicely then! Should be able to do very low 12s on the quarter mile with that.
Yes I've seen the Sky test, surprised they didn't go for the 135i, the RS sounds nice though.
PovK1, I've always thought AWD losses are overestimated by dynos because very few FWD runs are done on AWD dynos with the rear wheels turning and all the drag that adds. For example, a Scooby with the same power at the wheels to weight ratio as an E46 M3 can pull away from it at speed despite worse aero.

Looking at your sig you have a quick classic, we should meet up one saturday or something.

That plate ranks up there with some of the best for its cheekiness. Reminds me of a M3 driver whose plate translated to "tax me"

I have been looking at one recently and am quite tempted, as i am in the Forces i have been offered a new tax paid one for £25,095 for the base car, £695 for lux pack 1 and 460 for half leather and last of all £650 for the green colour.
So in summary, should i go for it(currently have a modded Hawkeye STi) as it would be taking up nearly all my savings etc.
Would i always want to go back to Subaru as i feel now that its getting a bit "boy racer" would the focus not just be the same????
What fuel does it use and what are the service intervals, or would i be better just getting the standard white one with lux pack???
also do you reckon the residuals will be good as its a limited run??
Is there any issues yet??? waiting on the guy phoning me back tomorrow to see what is on offer as they have a cancelled order in blue sitting there.
Decisions,decisions.

Services intervals are 10k/1 year, Ford are offering a 3 year servicing deal with 2 extra years of AA cover for £542 which is very good.
No major issues yet.
There are quite a few sitting out there now so shop around, a few dealers post on the forum above.

How does it drive compared to the modded STI?
I would say do not spend nearly all your savings on a car, but maybe a tax paid deal makes it almost free motoring? My cousin says that even depreciation disasters like V6 Vectras were not too bad considering the tax situation. I would certainly not blow your savings without driving it though, that will expose the hype/reality vs the STI.

My thoughts exactly, is it over hyped???? although there does seem a lot of cars for sale at over inflated prices on pistonheads at the moment.
Maybe i am letting my heart rule my head as i really like the lok of them, maybe will wait till the hype dies down and then rethink.
My misus is sick of me going on about this and now just says do what you want, lol

i think if your expecting it to be BETTER than a MODDED sti you will probably be disapointed
can run on 95 ron i run on 99
servising is every 12000 or yearly
its a great car but you have already got a great car

A well modded Hawkeye is fantastic though, I ignore what reviewers write as they seem to rate many average cars far too highly IMHO. None of them seem to be able to say anything bad about Porsches which often have a silly front end bob and break more than they should (two friends have broken engines), BMWs that bounce/have dodgy electrics and whose brakes wilt on a country road, Focus RS which is the Millenium Falcon meeting front wheel drive and honest guv not cost cutting, Golf GTI which bounces/has little steering feel/poor ride comfort and has electrics worse than a Fiat, GTR which has silly dealer maintenance costs/schedules that ruin it in some ways as a cheap Porsche, they also think all Subarus are ultra reliable when we know that is not the case.

340Bhp/400lbs Torque loads of stuff, check out my garage!!!!!
All the sensible stuff done, ie defis, brakes, etc only real thing to do would be AST's or BC coilovers, nothing wrong with the ones on it but it would make it the ultimate car, have just reduced it to £13700.
