As I mentioned above, I recently test drove the Corsa VXR running on 18 inch rims with super low profile and wide tyres. It had to be reigned in the first two gears with just 197bhp and you really could feel the torque steer, even though they'd tried to disguise it by making the steering extra light.
It looks like a cracking car; it will be very good, not doubt, but, irrespective of what the marketing bods say, it would have been better had Ford of done it properly! 4WD was dropped bacuse of the cost, and because most people will be happy enough with the car with a decent diff and FWD, simple as!

The latest evo has the results of a drag race between an RS and a mountuned ST.
0-130mph RS 27.4 Mst 27
So if funds are tight and you fancy going as fast as an RS, then the mountune ST could be for you. At least in a straight line...

i have seen some of these about now, a few white ones and a green one the other day on m40. best looking ford since the escort cossie in my opinion and they look really chunky in white. heard alot of good things about them. i was also told though that it would be hard to extract more power from the 300 it comes with, not sure if thats true or not? its impressive what ford have done with 300bhp at the front wheels but cant help wonder from a tunners point of view that much more power will see issues with grip. as most people on here buy a subaru for all sorts of reasons but most of us get the bug for more power at some stage so it will be interesting to see what will happen in the future of the new rs.

Im loving the car. Just trying to get it run in now, so much so that i used it for work today. another 60 miles out the way. maybe a couple more days this week and it will be done. Then time to enjoy.
