think you will find they have **** reputations because of the minority that drive them round like ***** and try and race everyone with no regards for other road users, but hey its only the same reputation as that **** in the nova/fiesta/corsa/astra/bmw/golf/civic/metro/mercedes/ferrari/lambo/porsche/or any motorbike that drive exctly the same !!! people go on about this bad reputation that imprezas have . personally I think its just a few that keep going on and on about "chavy *****" that put these reputations about and make them seem far worse than they really are...
I have been out in my "chavy" impreza quite a bit this week and cant say i have seen one impreza driving like a **** !
Back to the original thread anyway, If YOU want one mate then get one.

Trouble is chief, you don't know me or how old I am, so how on gods sweet earth can you make the assumption that if I, (along with others here) think flamer kits are chav, then that makes me a boring old ****? I drive a heavily modified, 400+ bhp Impreza, oh and I don't feel the need to drive like a **** or shoot mahoosive flames out the back of my car. If thats your bag, then good for you.
i never implied you specifically were old. all i was sayingis i am young and i like having fun. and if i was 40ish i wouldnt. my parents and most are prime examples. they could do things when they were young that are frowned upon now by them because they are older.
i never once said you were old!! and who said you drive like a ****??? and what has a flamer kit got to do with driving like a ****.
i have stated that its personal preference

modifying is a great hobby but I agree flamer kits are not natural and shoot excessive flames which in my opinion look fake and most people are not impressed with them but hey it's only my thoughts spend the money else where and you will enjoy it more

Flamer kits are chavvy, fact.
The only way flames are cool is if your car pushes out more than 400bhp and the flames occur without any help from any additional devices, namely a spark plug in the exhaust.
I once saw a car with what can only be described as a gas burner on the back of it. There we were minding our own business and this tool comes along and lights his back end up. We heard this woosh then saw all the nozzles light up with blue flames in such a uniform fashion. Why someone would go to such lengths is beyond me. Myself and those around me looked at each other in disbelief and all bust out laughing. It was priceless.
FLAMER KITS ARE NOT COOL KIDS!!!
Barry boys. I've always thought of that lot as a bunch of sad jealous bastids but occasionally they have a point...

I believe thats "youth" for you, and of course there is the possibility that said "youth" could be a future politician or such in the future.
Now then, isn't that a frightening thought for the day.

What apart from looking ****, drawing unwanted attention to your self and others, burning the back of your car, and being branded as a chav for having one not alot really
as for this comment

Screw handling, flames are the way forward! Look at the amount of flames coming out of a fighter jet, and they're fast as f**k! [quote/]
this speaks volumes for the people who drive these things nowadays

I do, you seem to have it the wrong way around though, anti lag does something its the chav kits (oops flamer kits) that do nothing, how many WRC or rally cars have you seen driving around with chav (oops spelling again flamer kits) as opposed to anti lag lol
