Going to work this afternoon is going to be a hell of a lot easier than I believed it would have been when I went to bed at Tea. phew....

Cheers Monty, my slaughtering has been postponed for a week or so

We haven't beaten the Aussies at Lords since 34

I thought Collingwood was magnificent.

As I now realise I dont have a clue about Cricket I will only say one spinner at Lords and Harmisson will replace, Swann, no Monty, no Swann

And someone get Vaughan back as captain, he can bat at 11 f*ck it

Correct. If ever a commentary team enhanced the TV Coverage, it's those two. Pure genius and how they're not on more mainstream TV is beyone me.

Default Freddie Retires from Test Cricket after the Ashes

Inevitable really with the injuries he's endured.

Although he has an 11 year test career he never really fulfilled his test career imo, he was magnificent between 2002-2005, the rest of the time was interspersed with injuries and poor form. Which is a shame because he could have been a great, maybe the lifestyle issues played a part.

At least he will remain a one day player, hopefully his body can handle it, you canb guarantee he'll be up for the IPL, and you cant blame him his career could be over in 2 years with the knee and ankle problems

For me his greatest moment has to be

About to start play. Lets hope Freddie finds some form for this game.

Not won at Lords since 1934 or something so the odds are against us.

Not a bad day so far for England, that has been the worst I hve ever seen Johnson bowl, Hilarious

Lucky b%stard managed to keep one straight for Cookie

Time for some shut eye for me, at least we've kept that smug f*cker Macgill quiet tonight, Greg Matthews says it's the worst Aussie bowling seen in living memory (local sydney station panelists during lunch) thankfully we still have the sky commentary

Good Night

Ravi Bopara looks out of his depth.

We all know what a talent he is and how is score's massively in county cricket, but although it's not the greatest Ozzie attack he has to give them more repect. He's got to learn to leave the ball better and just play a bit tighter early in his innings.
You can't smash these guys stright from the off like the journeymen medium pacers you find in county cricket.

It would never happen but i would get Ramprakash back in there at 3 averages 40 vs the Ozzies and he would murder the current attack. He's been scoring 2000 runs a season every year !!!

Been busy all morning and missed most of the morning session, probably a good thing for my heart.

I think the afternoon could be quite entertaining if we stick to A) our lines B) our length and more importantly C) Freddie bowls like he wants to hurt someone
