Hello Pavlo, the o-ring doesn't go inside the bore on the Carl Davey rails (it doesn't physically fit), it seals right on the edge of the rail (you can't push the injector into the rail), see pics below with adaptors finally fitted. The injectors are clamped perfectly (theres no movement up or down depite my best efforts ), I will be leak testing them to make sure tho ). Don't panic, I've fitted a few injectors in the past.
Need to shorten nearest line so that it doesn't ride as high apart from that I just need to make up the final lines back to the filter/bulkhead, tighten fittings and shes done!

Will certainly be good to have the "Chy/Pennine" scoobs out in force!
We're probably looking in Aug sometime.

I see your point now , have emailed Carl to double check. Am unable to push the injector into the bore just using my hands, I guess they go in much easier when bolting them up. Will let you know what Carl says but I think you already know the answer, .
School boy error! Easy fix tho.
Cheers Pavlo.

Don't forget to use some grease on the o-ring, same for the o-ring at the manifold end.
Look on the bright side, the adaptor will be much nicer looking when you're finished!

injectors;
i am quite sure that the o ring should seat completely in the inj rail mate, i would get this sorted sooner rather than later, who knows what will happen when you put 80-90 psi threw them

Will do indeed.
Andy/Peter/Dave -
I am hoping to get Pat to come along on the day as we may need some tweaking here and there. Hopefully, you guys may be able to get some "timed" sessions too.

Cheers all, adaptors have been machined down today but am away from home at moment so don't have any oil/grease to try them (theres no way the injectors are going inside the rails dry without damaging the o-ring, I've just tried)! Carl emailed me back last night as well to confirm the o-ring should sit in the bore like you said.
Will fit everything together Friday night and let you know how I got on, Everything should be ready to go this Sunday then its over to Pennine .
Jag, defo up for that and I'm sure Chris Dicko will want to come as well (is there a limit on numbers)?

Things are quite at moment while I wait for my new block to be built up so spent some quality time with the car this weekend (girlfriend decided she wasn't talking to me anyway so got a bit of time to myself to pamper the car). Treated to a bit of spit and polish (been neglecting her recently, thats the car ) and a rinde out to TOTB.
Also fitted air/fuel ratio gauge and red hazard switch (I can't stop wasting money on pointless mods , red hazard switch must be worth 10bhp for looks tho . Also ordered a S204 trim set from Japanparts.com (I hate the silver).
Finished the manifold off but still having problems clamping the injectors down. I oiled the o-rings but was worried I was going to strip the threads when clamping the rails down as it was that tight.

Fitted some more of those rails a week or so ago and they were tight, but the main problem is there is no lead in on the bore the injector sits in. Using a scraper to create a 20º (or there abouts) chamfer made a huge difference. You may also find the PE injectors some with fatter than stock orings at the top.

Aye, the shop neglected to chamfer the port on the first fews sets of rails. I'm happy to say the new batch have a lovely chamfer on them.
Pauls advice is good advice Dave. They will go in. However, i would push them in rather than clamp the rails down onto the manifold with the bolts.

You might have done, I didn't stay long tho as I had to get back. Some very nice cars.
Wish I hadn't gone to be honest, thought I was building a fast car until I had a look around and seen what you lot are running now .

Was looking at some of the Norris Design lumps at TOTB, well impressed (even if they are the enemy ). Anyone know why they are rotating there lumps (ie. mounting longitudinally)?

All quite on the eastern front while I wait for the engine, got a new date for dropping the car off just waiting for confirmation on the year now . Machined down the adapters and put a chamfer on the rails last week and they now fit fine (the injectors pushed into the rails without problem once I'd put the chamfer on). See final pics, any further tweaks can be done when the engines been assembled (I've been messing around with them for long enough now ).

New oil cooler (second hand jobbie) to fit next week. She needs it as well, she curently sits around 90-100oC when in traffic, I'm thinking the ceramic coating on the turbo is keeping the heat in and acting like a heater , (noticed the rise in temp after the turbo was fitted). Any other sugestions, oil pressure, coolant temp are fine and car is running lovely at mo but it does seem to get hot.
Going to fit between the intercooler and radiator (just enough room with the air con radiator gone). Does it matter which way round the oil cooler is mounted i.e. Lines feeding in top/bottom/sides . Am going to mount mine so that the lines run into the side (i.e. line in on the top, line out on the bottom) unless anyone can tell me this will cause a problem.
