My mate and his wife have two. Such a lovely looking dog. I really wanted one but at the time both my wife and I were out all day at work so it wouldn't have be fair.
I work from home at the moment and am still tempted to get a 'friend' to keep me company but with a baby on the way it's probably not the right time

Well we picked Ben up today, and he's been amazing. He never bothered about traveling in the car, and was more interested in what was going on outside the window. He doesn't care about the cats (yet!) and he's not whined much since moving home. Some terrible pics below but the battery in my main camera was goosed so I had to use the other halfs aged stand by

What a cute little furry friend!
lol at the 2nd pic mate, brings back memories of shredded skin and dripping blood not so many weeks ago
Looking forward to your first night of wondering what the little devil is up to? I was up at the crack of dawn on my first morning just to check all was ok!

Tell me about it (I wish you had!!), 2am (whining for attention), 4am (for a pee which was fine, I guess
). And 6.30 (food?). Now that I've given him his breckie he's back sleeping again, ahh peace

In that respect I have been very lucky, I never had to get up once in the night as she didn't whine or bark and waited for me to come down in the morning before she'd go to the loo. I'd let her out at midnight for last toilet trip and then be down at 6.30 and luckily it worked and she got into that routine. For not getting me up in the night I can forgive her all her other mischiefs. Are you using a crate?
Yes he's in a crate, I thought this would be the best way to train him, and for leaving him alone while I get on with things. He seems quite happy with it as he was in one with the other pups. tbo after doing some research I think the guy that bred him was feeding him too much so I've cut this down a bit. He's doing the No. 2's outside OK but he's peed in the kitchen twice. I think I need to lift him outside for a while rather than hope he's going to follow me. It's a steep learning curve atm

I didn't know anything about crate training before I got ours but it's been great. She only soiled her crate twice in the first 3 days of having her and then not once after that. Piddling in the house outside of her crate continued for quite some time but was totally random and didn't seem to matter that I had just put her outside for a wee and she just grew out of it eventually. One mistake I made with piddling outside was I didn't train her where to go and the lawn now has brown patches all over it
Ours is 6 months old in 2 weeks and it is shocking how quickly the time flies by and how much they change!
