What I want is to see is whether with cams and some better heads I can match the GT35 at the top end with race fuel. So next stop 440 atw but not till 2011.
I run a PPG straight cut non synchro gearset.
Nice to meet you Paul, the country you live in is an excellent place! It was nice to have a brief drive of Alan's old car, of which i spent many an hour working on.
Your race car looks superb, and sounds it too. Good luck with your next climb.

I am not a fan of Zivania anymore due to some incidents involving village Zivania, Greek dancing, shirt coming off and the next day over the toilet bowl. I stick to Keo or Carlsberg now. There must be some places in London where you would be able to get it as the Cypriot community is quite large.

Hi Steven
Glad you enjoyed it!! It rained a little yesterday but still 30 degrees. It has it good and bad days!
You are welcome back anytime. Had a play with a F360 last night (high boost of course). He was in front of me joining an empty freeway and he gave it some. As you know mine is very quiet now so got the full noise of the Ferrari and the flames as he wound it out. I am sure he was surprised when I flashed him to move out of the way as he was too slow.
He of course did not and kept into it. As it was empty I overtook him from the left lane and pulled away. Within 15 seconds of full power you can pick up some big speeds so i backed off and let him go, he kept into it and I am sure hit top speed as he raced away. Nice car but no room for the kids.
The car is fantastic and a credit to you for building the engine and Paul for mapping. I know that the game has moved on from the 450-500bhp mark but really you do not need more in an everyday car. Although maybe I should try some race fuel in it next time Paul is over; for scientifc evaluation of course.
The race car should finally produce if I learn how to drive it. I was told that in a video of the last hillclimb I am braking way too early and getting on the gas way too late into and out of corners. I must trust the brakes and the AWD. So I will take this advice on board and hopefully pick up a few seconds from this as well.
360ste - Your best souvla meat is pork and I usually get rump cut up, although there are other cuts as well. I know the Greek terminology but am not sure what the equivalent is in English. Remember from earlier that day or even the day before cut a heap of onion into the meat, lemon juice, olive oil and oregano. Then enjoy. I am now hungry. MMMM

My mouth is watering already. Roll on Saturday.
Which stretch of freeway did you use? I used to love going up to Troudos andblasting up past the crawler lane, once I used the crawler lane coming down as two idiots where being silly s just got past them.

Final round of the series occured on Saturday. It had been rubbish weather all week with lots of rain and thunderstorms.
Woke up at 5am and it had been raining overnight. Thought what the hell we will head up there and see. Afte a slow 1 hour drive with the rest of the team we git deep into the mountains to a bright sunny morning. The course was damp but it looked like it would dry off.
The course was the same we had run in July and was 42 or so corners with only a few straights that you could stretch into third.
Decided that if I did not break the 2.10 mark on my practice run, I would not swap to the race fuel. My best run in July was 2.21.967 so 2.10 would be a huge improvement. The front runners were running low 2mins last time out.
First practice run and I did a 2.14 so very happy, but not quite good enough. The car was so much better on the GT3071, but still the power delivery is very savage and I kept on getting wheelspin when it kicks at 4000rpm.
The next official run was a 2.11.034 I drove like a madman, made a few errors by coming into corners too hot. It can now accelerate between corners
and I was getting caught out and braking too late andundersteering. It was a 2.07 run for sure If I had kept it smooth.
My third run was wrecked by rain and ran a 2.22. It was very funny, I slid all the way up the mountain as it kept on breaking traction with half throttle.
So moved up from 30th position last time to 16th. At the top end a Subaru finally won an event with an unbelievable 1.55 or so. This was 4 seconds faster than the winning time set by my mechanic in the EVO back in July.
Things to do.
Have a look at the external wastegate, vacuum lines and boost controller installation as something is not right with the power delivery. Also need some wider rubber as I am overpowering the 215 R888s.
So a good end to the year.
