We asked about the forged ones and they would be able to get hold of them, £400-500 v £25! I'd happily have them fitted but we've just forked out a small fortune for a brand new roof on our home! Plus last year we had to pay a solicitor £6000 for a case involving an EVO IV. We've agreed to get the electrics fixed and then drive it with low compression until we can find a solution. Might find an STI engine to drop in?

Not good timing.

Rick has a lot on at the moment getting cars ready for Scooby Sprint. Can't believe they've had it 24 days, friggin Car People!!!!

I Phoned trading standards yesterday and they informed us we were entitled to repair costs and that we'd have to phone and write to Adam Fothergill at the Car People to get the ball rolling, well I've phoned Adam at the Car People and he's said because we can't prove the wiring fault was there before we bought the car they aren't willing to help us.

I've got back to the Trading Standards and they've pretty much said there is nothing we can do as it's our word against theirs.

Huh ?

I saw a comment on here about a different company who'd said "six days" and it turned into six weeks....

As for Rick he's a star, but only human.

IMHO

Picked up car today, Rick didn't seemed too fed up by it all but says he won't deal with The Car People again! That's two of us!!!!

Car still judders but it seems to pull a bit better now Rick has sorted the wiring and changed the knackered plugs. He says it's still a bit lean at tickover and that because the car was mapped with dodgy wiring there could be problems now the wiring is rectified. I'd contact my mapper about it but I've fallen out with The Racing Line. Apparently the badly repaired wiring sent interference to the injectors.

I'm not sure if RE have spilt oil somewhere by the turbo but the car was smoking like mad under then bonnet on the way home.
