Suppressing hunger

I would advise going from white to wholemeal bread. The Mrs nagged me to do this a while ago as I don't have very good bowels - the difference is brilliant. Toilet more regular and no more bloatiness from what I admittedly have as a crap diet.
Another good thing to get you pooing is those yogurt drink things. I've been on the Asda home brand ones (special offer 8 for £1) and had 2 a day... just like having a yogurt snack, but you sip it and sh*t for England.

Are you trying to say that i am full of ****?

It is difficult Sara and I find it just as hard as you to resist a snack etc.
I find that it helps to eat an apple which is not unhealthy of course. It is not the complete answer though. Trouble is, as we get a bit older, the metabolism changes and it is more difficult to keep the weight off. I have to go by the tightness, or not, of my trousers whether i am succeeding or not.

How the heck can you do it when the fridge is staring at you all day long?
Right you lot, i am not a fatty or anything like that but i am acquiring a tum and hips lately.
I am unable to do anything that is too energetic as i have a back problem and i think this is why i am putting on weight on my middle. I am getting bored and turning to the fridge for help.
This is what i eat on a typical day.
Sandwich spread on toast and scrambled eggs/or cereal for breakfast.
Cheese sandwich(mature, on white bread) mid morning.
More toast with sandwich spread.
Baked potato with beans, coleslaw and cheese for lunch.
Chocolate of some sort to fill a gap.
Another sandwich, this time with a bit of salad with my cheese.
Cooked meal for tea time always healthy.
Stodgy pudding for desert.
Lots of cakes and sweets and diet biscuits all evening.
I have had my cholesterol tested recently and was told it was low. I was hoping the result would be higher as this would have made me give up eating so much crap
I seem to have a high metabolism, but i am starting to notice i have put on a few pounds and cant shift them. I seem to be hungry all the time since i have not been working, am i eating to relieve boredom?
What is a good way to say no to the fridge as i have no will power?

My jeans are too tight and i would rather lose the weight than get bigger clothes, its cheaper for a start.
My mum was always slim but she didn't eat like i do but she smoked 60 **** a day so maybe that stopped her feeling hungry.
I am used to having something to do. I have my gardening but most of that involves bending over so i just potter about usually with crisps in my hand.
The chickens would get more treats if i wasn't such a pig

Try this..
Lay out a days pack lunch, you cant have ANYTHING other than what you have set yourself.
Get the carbs out the way in the morning, and early afternoon. And try and keep your sugars/carbs to a minimum from about 4-5 o'clock.
Make sure the food allowance is nice and balanced, and sensible portions.
Then just make yourself aware of what your intake is.
Once its gone, its gone. No picking. You know what they say "Fridge pickers wear bigger knickers"

EPHADRINE..... I knew a bloke who took that once, amongst other things.. he had a tiny *****!
As for the OP. I suggest that when you do feel the craving for a snack, have a tip top. That works well in the summer. I used to have one of those instead of drinking and it felt like I was eating something while I ws crunching the ice. Also have you tried something like raspberry leaf tea? It fills you up like a glass of water, it's good for detox, and it's great for menstrual cramps.
I don't know what height weight you are, so a basic outline of what you eat means nothing unless I know your weight/size to see how much your body needs.
I get by on 2 slices of toast, or some cereal (cheerios) for breakfast. Then a cheese s'wich (has to be mature though and thts my downfall), followed by a low fat yoghurt.
Then I will have nothing until tea time, and it's usually something boring nd not particularly healthy.
I drink plenty of water, which keeps me feeling fuller throughout the day.

Also I agree totally that it is cheaper to loose weight and fit into your clothes than it is to go and buy new ones.
My daughter is almost 2 and it wasn't until her 1st birthday that I decided to loose any weight.
I fluctuated a lot over the last 12 months with my weight now a stone less that it was then, and I am keeping it off. The warmer weather helps too as it is easier to exercise in the summer as you can do it without running about like a sweaty bandana wearing crazy woman.

right this is what i have been eating for the past couple of weeks, and tbh I havent noticed a difference!!
Breakfast: 2 slices of granary wholemeal with a scrapping of butter or 2 weetabix, semi skim milk, 1 banana and a handful of sliced almonds
lunch - if i 'do' lunch it's normally a cheese sandwich ( wholemeal bread again) and honestly i hardly have any cheese as I cant stand too much in sarnies
dinner - salad consisiting of lettuce, cucumber, carrot, the odd little tomato ( which i force myself to eat) and either a grilled chicken breast or a couplf of slices ham and perhaps a boiled egg...and a desert spoon of extra light mayo or maybe french dressing
i drink pints of icy squash throughout the day, and occasionally sucumb to a biscuit or two ...
I am fed up with salad but want to shed a few pounds so am perservering.. I;ve cut out white bread, potatoes and only have pasta once in a blue moon...why am I not seeing a difference???!!!!

The tablets you get over the counter are not as strong as the other ones but they do exactly the same, they stop you absorbing the fat so you fart it out as oil

Oh give over, we like our wimmin with *some* meat on them, cant be doing with women being skinny and boney, nothing more replusive than some emaciated brown stick with big shades, ridiculous fake ***** and Ugg boots.

Don't worry, i don't aspire to be a waif with Ugg boots
Just don't like this extra bit i have
I reckon i could lose it in a week if i am sensible. I want to be 9.5 stone so i have about 6/7lbs to go
I have always exercised throughout my life but i have done hardly any for about 5 years now since my back got bad

girls,
seriously my g/f put on a lot of weight after she had her two kids. she was also on medication that balloned her weight up. she was 9.5 stone size 8 before the kids arrived. boney shoulder blades, ribs showing, nice perky **** that stayed up when she lay on her back. she has lost 50lb so far on a diet called allaboutw8. orders all her food from the website. has to drink about a gallon of water a day though. have to say she looks great now. not too skinny but not a heifer either. i like something to hold on to.
