Strange. That didn't work either. You sure it's not .com rather than .con

I received a cheque in the post and the money is now in the bank..i waited a week before posting something on here just in case the cheque bounced...
so it is possible...you just have to work hard to get the money back...and to hodgy_02 i am an honest man!!

So to all those who do not have their money back yet....get on and do it!!

How is it rightfully his??

At the end of the day your friend obviously withdrew money from his bank account which wasn't rightfully his and he was penalised by the bank.

I fail to see the problem, you go over your agreed overdraft limit and you face the consequences.

All it means for us who never go overdrawn is we'll end up paying a monthly fee to do our banking or a pay-per-transaction system, propping up the people who cannot manage their money or just assume they deserve that 42" flat screen TV and will go overdrawn to get it.

Flame suit on.

Default Success

Hi Guys,

Thought I drop a quick line, as I researched a few forums when I first became a customer of 7, and was a little nervous.
Proof is though, that bad news travels faster than good and this is the reason for my posting today.

I have currently been with 7 for roughly 9 months.I received a letter about 2 months ago to say my case had been passed to the financial ombudsman by the solicitor. I felt a bit reluctant to get any good news as Im aware that they are extremly busy at the moment with the financial melt down that is happening around us.

Last week I then received a letter from LLoyds, explaining that as a good will gesture they will pay me pack the ppi i had paid to date, which was £4700.11 plus interest of £810 plus £100 compensation for stress??? Cant comlain.

This I was more than happy with. It also stated that the PPI would be cancelled and taken off the rest of my loan reducung it by £4500, which meant my monthly payments have been reduced by £85.

Although I was scepticle at the beginning I am glad that I did have faith in 7 claims as my loan will now be paid off in 4 more months and I am approximatley £5400 better off.

In total 7 claimed me back in the region of £10,000.

Hope there are more people who get the same success as I.

Swat!!!

Swat,

Another feeble attempt to give Seven Claims some credibility here.

I don't believe you got this money back for a second.

I wonder if you would be prepared to PM me some details to substantiate your claim. I won't hold my breath.

For all those who lost their money, then good.

All the ****** who are claiming money through loopholes are just making it more expensive for honest people, do you think the companies just write this money off, or increase the charges to claw it back from others.

Oh and to the two newbs praising this claims company, go do one, thanks.

Sending me a PM isn't posting online.

If you don't trust me, PM a moderator who can then contact me. I'm sure you could rustle up some details that would convince us here without giving away any sensitive information. Proof that you don't work for Seven Claims for starters.

Anyway, to have paid £4700 in PPI alone surely means you had a massive loan over a long period (55 months so far). And that's without a further £4500 in PPI payments over another 52 months. So, a massive loan over 107 months (around 9 years), I don't think it unreasonable for Lloyds to sell you PPI.

this happens all the time -- Guy Hands who is running EMI has just asked -- or told his bank (the one who ones all the debt) to take a "haircut" to the tune of 500 million pounds if they want to see any money back

presumably the bank will recover the loss from its customers

so why should it not apply to everyone

Do you think that kind of behaviour is right though?

also selling payment protection policies to people who the bank know will never be able to claim isn't some loophole to wriggle through its plain fraud on behalf of the bank

Agree with you on that point, it's the people wriggling out, or trying to wriggle out of credit card balances due to paperwork being mislaid that gets my goat.

no i dont

and as someone who has spent the first 6 months of this year clearing alot of short term debt it does stick in my throat people who seem to think its OK to walk away from debt (whilst keeping all the crap electrical goods they bought with i)

but it seems acceptable for the big boys to do it on a grand scale

Default To everyone

I took my loan out in 2005, paying £374.86 a month. £85 of that was PPI. I have been p[aying it for four and a half years, you do the maths.

After being diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago, I tried to claim, but Lloyds found away of not paying. Why shouldn't I claim back my money that I paid to help me in these circumstances when it didnt?

How exactly did they not pay out if you were diagnosed with the big C?

they probably have these cover all get out clause's

I suspect it will fall into the "pre-existing condition" one which is a bit like the "fair wear and tear" clause that gets rid of most 3rd party car warranty claims

My name appeared 2nd on the loan account. My partener working for BT gets paid 6 months full and 6 months half pay, and has a seperate critical illness cover, so never needed the policy.

I didnt know I have the policy, and it wasnt until my daughter heard about it in the press and said I might have it so try to claim on my ppi. When I was turned down because my name appeared second, thats when I went to 7.

Still not convinced Swat.

If you had a pre-existing condition (cancer), why the heck should they pay out?

If you didn't already have cancer (when taking out the PPI), they couldn't refuse to pay out. You also wouldn't have needed Seven Claims to get the PPI installments back.

Anyway, you are clouding the issue. Seven Claims are all about using loopholes to write off debts which people should be paying back.

With regards to my illness as i said it was diagnosed 2 years ago, and took the loan out 4.5 years ago. They didnt pay out as I was named second on the loan agreement.

Well anyway, beleive what you like. Just so over the moon, wanted to thankyou 7 marketing and their solicitors for the result.

So once again, THANKS and good luck for the rest of you guys who have a claim.

Just to let you know a fact I have found out along the way after doing a bit of research, PPI is now being banned from being sold, so the fact is that it is a rip off product!!!

I rest my case!!!

As a successful claimant why were you researching them? Curious.

However, the getting out of the big C thing is possible.

We refused the PPI on our mortgage to look for our own because the policy (apparently a good one) with a big name (sounds like Gegal & Lenral) only covered for 'certain types' of cancer and would only pay out from them if you died so the critical illness cover element was practically useless.

They are a right rip off to be honest but given people are happy to fork over £200 on the basis of a cold call it isn't surprising that your bank has got away with it for so long.

Almost, but not quite as bad as getting done by the "we have someone waiting to buy your car send us £90 right now" lot.

5t.

Default DO NOT TOUCH THESE CLOWNS

Yes I was a mug, they got me when I had been looking into claiming bank charges back. DO NOT TOUCH THEM, I cannot even call them now as the line goes dead. A £200 hard lesson learned. I will be reporting them to anyone and every one
