TBH there is many variants with the T04Z turbo and as you know there are even more hybrids!
So here is me to hoping that mines ain't going to be as dead lower down but its must be **** hot at the top end tho!
Is his a twin scroll as you can get a single scroll version too?

[QUOTE=stevebt;8767062]The t04z isn't a quick spooling turbo. Here is a graph from the evo and it uses the smallest housing and its on a 2.3ltr engine
nothing a 50 shot of noz before boost wont solve. or flat foot shift

I'm not doing it anymore...no more mods for me for a while
How is your car Steve?
I spoke to Chy about the classic with the similar turbo.
640/580 comes to mind on plain 99 fuel.
I'm going to be running the scottie max mix

Ok folks alot of progress has happened over the last few days.
The headers are all complete apart from the fitment of the 38mm V Band Tial wastegates. The wastegate entry pipe has been cut back to as short as possible to reduce the amount/volume in the headers prior to entry of turbo.Hopefully all these reduction will decrease spool up time.
Next was the to try the headers on to the block and start fabricating the down pipe to suit.
Pics of Meercat's hand welding....brilliant finish and near fish scale welds done by robots.
Now on to the box for the side/front exit exhaust.I'm going for a side exit as i wanting to get rid of the exhast gas as quick as possible to maximise power and power band.It has been known that race cars have changed from the normal system and backbox to a side or front exit exhaust and gaining as much as 50bhp or so i've been told!Forgot to say that the box is re-packable...you'll see the bolts on the rear of the box.
And now for trial fitment of the bumper in place with the side/front box.
Looking good so far...i like it.
Now for the tail tip.
This project has been such a laugh!!
More pics of the whole headers and down pipe set up.
Enjoy......to be continued
