That's exactly what Arks been looking for all day - reckons it's the way to go. See, you're both on the same wavelenght, you've got to get a day pass to come & play (book the Mrs a trip to a health spa - it normally works for Ark!!)

Love it. Will need a few litres though to spray the whole car. Reckon 4 litres when mixed up should cover it.

If you buy the car for £500 you can't spend any more on getting it sorted

Cars & Car Preparation:
  • All cars must be Mitsubishi models and be worth no more than £500 once the car has been prepared
  • All Mitsubishi vehicles are eligible with the following exceptions; Shogun/Pajero derivatives, L200, L300, Delicia, people carriers & any commercial Mitsubishi vehicles
  • All cars must be 10 years old or more, ie: registered prior to August 1999
  • A fire extinguisher (powder or foam, minimum 1kg capacity) must be securely fitted to the floor in the front passenger footwell, or rollcage, and be within easy reach of the driver
  • A rollcage, race seat and harness can be fitted without being included in the overall vehicle cost
  • The engines fitted to the cars must remain as the same type and capacity as fitted when new
  • The original fuel tank, battery position and bodywork must be retained
  • The windscreen must be retained, but side windows can be replaced by polycarbonate / perspex
  • Interiors can be removed but full dashboards must be retained and have a working speedo, trip & mileometer
  • All lights and exterior mirrors must be removed, although two rear brake lights must be fitted in the rear window aperture so they are visible by all following cars
  • Airbags must be disabled or disconnected
  • There are no restrictions on tyres
  • No additional nudge / bumper bars are allowed. This is a non contact event
  • Cars do not need to have an MoT or road tax, but in such cases must be trailered to the event
  • Performance modifications are allowed, but all mods must be declared and included in the overall value of the vehicle
  • Cars can be painted, decorated and themed, but any additions must be securely fixed. No additional lights with glass lenses can be fitted
  • Any car can be purchased by anyone for £500 after the event has finished

Comes with a spare engine.

If that goes ahead then would it be possible to sell the parts not needed to offset against the cost of the car? ie sell the interior for £100 making the car £400? etc

Re the EVO shell.
So without a logbook the EXACT model couldnt be identified right?
it was ONLY 1.6 bogo standard model.

This does indeed sound fun.

But think you are being way too sensible with your car, how about

1995 MITSUBISHI FTO SPORTS COUPE DAMAGED SALVAGE on eBay, also, Mitsubishi, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 23-Jun-09 17:51:51 BST)

Already damaged, therefore saving a task.

The sellers come back to me now and he`s fixed the problems with the car and now wants £1200

Right guys I`ll need to know by morning whether we are entering an ESC team because this was posted on scoobynet this morning and they only need 5 more teams so soon we won`t have a choice. Only 2 team members need to be sidc members and with me and er indoors I can open this up too my mates and I know I`ll have too many peeps in a flash. So in the morning I`am going to book a team I`d rather it was an ESC team.
Let`s sweet talk all those wives and get it done.
I`ll get the list BTT.
