Not often, have gone off them since the smoking ban. Suppose the cigarette smoke used to remind me of my yoof.
Last time I went beer was weak as ****, barman was a **** and the landlord was a big fat ****!
Harsh words, must be getting old!

Only once a week at the most but I do have a loyalty/discount card that not many have... I call it my alcoholics card!

Drinking is a social thing..Although i have to agree, the price of beer is scandalous in public houses and bars.

There is only 1 pub in our village and its full most nights,so there is still a good trade locally.
Many pubs are closing though, its a bloody shame..
shame cuz i would no longer call a pub a social place.you can have a crackin laugh with a few mates at a house get the bbq goin with a few girls smoke drink do what you want...

Yea..

We go to the pub to get away from women though...lol........

For me,the pub has been a place to discuss cars, motorbikes, football, business, relationships and what beer your actually drinkin etc etc... So the fairer sex attended with you are not even in the equation..

Few games of pool, call each other names around the quiz machine, a few games of Poker all adds to a great atmosphere.

Dont get me wrong, beer,BBQ and loads of people round is good too.It can be a laugh as long as it at someone elses house..

Not having loads of p!ssed up people rolling around in my house and garden..

your also right what you say,i like going to the social club we can go up to the pool room have a few drinks and a laugh, maybe me saying that it's no longer a social place was a bit over the top.

Twice a week probably - york is excellent for really good pubs! Would be interesting to see how age/married/kids tallies with how often people go out. I suspect we all know the answer! Just to start that.... 30 next month, married - no kids!

Why don't you take the girls to the pub and leave your mates with your g/f?

Thumbs up

Before we moved our local was short stroll and I would go there most nights. The atmosphere was terrific and you soon got to know nearly everyone who came in. Landlord and Landlady were unreal. Landlady would get legless and then start on hubby (Landlord). On more than one occasion we had to carry her to her room upstairs! Cruel but free cabaret. And a real mix of people from city guys to poor old Farmer Keith who had nothing but 700 acres of Surrey. Liked a drink did our Keith and we know that one long night he had 46 light and bitters because we counted the empties!!

But we moved and it all changed as did the pub when booze finally took its hold on Mein Host.

Don't go now mostly because of cost, drink driving and I have to freeze outside to have a smoke.
