Thumbs up

Well I've heard of a car that started life with a humble 208 brake and 215lb/ft of torque as standard, which then crept up to 226 brake and 220 lb/ft after 300 quid was speant on it...

This little car over the next few years and 72000 miles had various things done to it by it's owner and several very good friends that the owner had met on a bbs somewhere...

Various things were tried with the exhaust, filtration and ecu. Eventually 240 brake and 256lb/ft were acheived all at a total cost so far of ooh... 1200 quid

But alas the poor little TD04 wasn't much use above 5000rpm and that top mounted intercooler really wasn't that efficient so the owner decided to go a bit further...

He splashed out on a nice hybrid turbo, front mount intercooler and tubular exhaust manifold, and again with the help of his friends and the nasty, evil and totally pointless link ecu the car started to really perform, 344 brake and 308lb/ft perform...and my word all at 1.25 bar and a total cost of less than 4000 quid...

10000 miles later the car still seemed to be working, and the owner was happy, but had plans... mainly to rig up the water injection at long last, seriously look at a stronger engine and gearbox...then maybe he could rest, safe in the knowledge that he'd saved a bundle by listening to the advice of his friends and thanking them for their assistance time and time again, which one day he would repay...and my word what a monster had been unleashed for such a relatively low outly

So much the owner has yet to learn from those with patience and passion

Cheers boys
