Not snapped, but one of the pulleys on the wifes scenic came loose about 4-weeks ago and it threw the timing out. Bent 14 of the 16 valves and we ended up changing all 16 plus a new cambelt (old one was 9-months old having been changed pretty much on time).

Ironically, the impreza was overdue by nearly 3-years when I got it done, and never had an issue until the new belt was noisy.
