Maybe you should read my reply properly then, especially the part where I tell you I have answered all questions on the topic so don't understand why you say I have "selectively answered questions."

As for your refund, you have had that membership for two years.
What is your gripe now that makes you want a refund?

Everything that I paid for for that Membership has been removed or given to everyone free since you changed everything

I said you had selectively answered questions meaning you ignore other peoples question on various threads so you appear to me to be picking and choosing which threads you answer questions on

Can I ask why you posted a feedback thread on April 1st, and never bothered replying back on that thread and then move it to news and announcements

I have asked many questions which have remained unanswered

for instance

What do Orange members now get for their money
Is there an upgrade path from an orange member to plus member (ie discounted upgrade)
Will the bold issue ever be returned (this finally has now been answered in the form of a we changed it to that because we cant make the site as fast as it used to be)
Search was broke

there are numerous others

Apologies if that seemed to be the case. Due to having a complex home life at the moment I'm trying to deal with the important issues as and when they arise.

I didn't move it, and simply forgot it was there after a week and only 6 replies, all negative IIRC so i turned my attention back to templates and speed.


The same they always did or better as far as I'm aware.


There was going to be actually but we struggled to find an easy way to implement it technically. We are still considering it.

Unlikely. The performance hit is huge but once all templates are fixed, and they almost are, we may trial it again.

Search is now free for everyone (I paid for the search facility)
Signature now free for everyone (I think)

I could upload more pictures in the Scoob Garage than I can in the new garage (not to mention losing all my info, with no warning)

It has been the case since you took over as Admin, now several times I have previously said that if you are having problems at home (which I know you have been) that perhaps you should delegate instead of just leaving things, or being unable to administer this site properly, surely IB have more than one person who can manage things in your absence

I wouldnt have thought it be that difficult to implement an upgrade from Orange to full membership, as Orange members already have some sort of tag / group etc

I really do fail to see how this is causing such a performance hit, it was NEVER a problem before the move to the USA, why is it such a problem now ? and have IB found out the cause of all the speed issues (you cant say its template, custom BBS etc etc, as the speed issues where never here previously)
maybe Im missing something but I am struggling on this one (and the incredible length of time to resolve)

I have been a member on here for over 10 years, 5 of which I have quite happily paid for full plus membership, and then Orange Membership, can you give me any reason at all that could justify me maintaining any level of membership?

Infractions are not gone as such, they are now distributed by the web team, something 99% of the forum members are happy with. Did you really pay specifically to have this feature? May I ask why?

Post ratings were used only for negativity so I admit they are a feature that has been removed. However, as far as I was aware they were available to all members? Regardless, this is a trial period anyway as noted here:

Search. Yes its now available to all, but it hasn't been removed from you has it? Thats progress Im afraid, Im sure deep down your pleased that the rest of the members get it as standard now because a forum without a search is a poor source of information.

Signature.
Yes you can use a signature, normal registered members cannot,.


Upload. You are allowed 20 garage pictures as an Orange member. (Normal Registered members only get 3)
You have used zero, so its obviously more than enough for you right now.

EXTRA's:
Attachments.
You can upload attachments to the scoobynet server if you wish to.
(Normal Registered members cannot)


PM's
You now get 100 as an orange member.
(Normal Registered members only 25)

Avatars. are now available.

I don't see as you have anything to be upset about there or to feel short changed for? I have upgraded most of the features and removed a bare minimum of features that I felt were damaging to the community as a whole. I have also added a lot of features that you as an orange member can use as well as the new adult forum.




In case you haven't noticed, the whole team of moderators now have pretty much full power to answer anything related to administration and running of the site and are welcome to answer any issues in this forum too and they do a great job of it. That was my delegation and they report any major issues to me via the mods room which i visit at least 3x daily.


You can laugh out as loud as you like, it wont change the fact that what I actually said was I had forgotten it was there after the 6th reply. Its not a crime to forget a topic exists, especially when you have other things to worry about but I will pop over there right now and appologise and thank any well wishers that I may have sadly overlooked.


The problem is how to allow only one user-group to access the payment facility securely. Every possibility has its flaws.


It was never an issue before the move to USA as the software wasn't changed before the move to USA. You will no doubt recall that before the move to USA you had;

No search.
No Signatures.
No Avatars.
No users online Feature.
No iTrader.
No Garage.
No Photoalbum.
No Portal.
No Social Groups.
No enhanced user profile.
There are more, but you get the picture I'm sure...

All those items are database intensive and pretty much the only thing we have changed to grab back some of the overheads used by the above features is the unread topics being in bold forever. Instead, the database now marks all threads read when you leave the forum. Hardly a massive issue and all IB forums run this way I believe, but as I say, once I am sure things have stabilised and people aren't constantly complaining about speed I may trial it switched back on and see how it goes. With regards speed, I find it more than acceptable now and don't have any access troubles at any time. However, being in the USA thats going to differ from one provider to the next, but BT certainly doesn't have any problems accessing ScoobyNet at an acceptable speed.


I am not asking you to become a member and therefore clearly don't need to justify it to you. The features available to you are listed clearly here.
If you don't require them, please don't pay as that would just be foolish.
