if it had a hard track day, start draging it, it wont last long

Take heart Ian, my stock Sti 5 box lasted a whole season of Prostreet, countless hours on the dyno and numerous customer demos before finally letting at go at 560bhp. Popped a new 3rd 4th gear cluster in, all done for £200.

I dragged mine a good 20+ times at 450bhp 410lbs/ft without any issues and was getting 1.6 to 60fts, so wasnt taking it easy on my V5 RA box

And as Martyn says and ive seen, he has given his some serious stick

UK boxes are much weaker than the STi versions, so don't think you can cane them all.

i have sorted out my power steering little problems from the relocation kit that i was using.

i have changed the bore of the pipe and adapter from the standard size (8mm i think it was at a guess) to 1/2 inch.

and fitted a pas bottle from a newer scoob

the wine from the pump at start up has gone now and steering is working 90%, just need to get the last of the air out.

What bhp are you running with the airfilter in the wing?
I was told that no wingmounted airfilter will feed the turbo with enough air to reach it´s "real" power around 500bhp...

Great, that sound´s fine for me, as I wanted to use a inner wing mounted filter on my classic too! Hope it can be fitted there with the Hybridpipework in place.

I have seen your filter of course, Harvey told me that the APS filter is only good for 350bhp.
The space in my innerwing seems to be exactly like yours, as the pipework goes down in the same place!
Great that there is a possibility to fit a big filter in the innerwing!!!
Hope the MAF (Q45) will accept the filter beeing a bit further away then standard.

you will prob find that the maff will need re scalling when using the aps pipe, and if you are going to use a q45 it will deff need a tweek

Thanks for the advice, I know about the MAF scaling with another airfilter, it´s always a timeconsuming work, but this time I can rescale it all perfect, as my MAF table is not the best at them moment anyways, because I never adjusted the Q45 MAF (with Apexi filter) to show the same values in the logs and on the map in my Apexi Power FC!

Previously ran 400/400 on a stock Sti5 Type R box with plenty of drag abuse, the car has now done a few track days and is still going strong...

my V3 sti box lasted me 3 years, whining for the last year and ive driven it hard and done 40 laps of the ring with it and i think it was the diff bearings, i fitted a uk TY54 box and 3rd gear died in 3 weeks so im rebuilding the V3 box with new bearings and fitting it to the later casing
