japspeed will do the job to an extent , but you get what you pay for , a Perrin etc is good for 1000hp an japspeed I don’t think is much cop over 500hp

If there is any CS400 owners here, Cosworth are auctioning complete exhaust systems for the CS400, may well fit others with single scroll setups.

If anyone is bidding on the above ^^^^^^ just be aware that the downpipe, supposedly, will not mate up to a std location turbo.

apparently they rotated the cosworth turbo ever so slightly (im guessing for clearance issues)

That came from Cosworth themselves when i was talking to them about the exhaust

and if you wanna know what it sounds like - just look up 330s Cosworth on youtube

Default misfire

just purchased a hatch , been re mapped.noticed theres a miss on idle and driving, plugs were changed recently, occassionally the revs rise a little and it seems to run fine then will drop back, i disconnected the maf still does the same.no warning lights showing,can you point me in the direction to look still learning the car, havent got access to a manual of some sort..

Not a huge gold fan either, but the wheel/brand new tyre combo for the right money so went for them (I do love AD08's) and think it works rather well

I'm running 265 R888 on the road and they are great, but as you, I had reservation about such a stiff tyre on the road, but so far so good. That said I'm going to get another set of wheels with some more friendly tyres and save these for sprints. I might look at the AD08's, but I actually like Federal RS-R's.

WRX, STI?
Mileage?
Remapped?
HG replaced?
History of car?


As much as you will read this everywhere on the interweb about the 2.5 engine, have you considered that it might be down on one cylinder - Compression tested?

Not tried the RS-R's, but am a big fan of the AD08's and more recently AD08R

Wear very well and will cope with hard driving with ease, keep their shoulders for the entire life of the tyre. Great feedback, sharpens the steering and of course awesome grip levels.

Can be noisy over certain surfaces, don't like standing water (but fine in the wet)

Hard to say Steve, might be worth a visit back to Plymouth if you are local and if they have seen the car already. Compression test it if you can just to make sure its not something serious. Assuming it is still on the standard block? 372 is good power from the standard engine, and probably at the limit of a good mapper like Alan, beyond this or even at this level under WOT I think number three cylinder gets very hot which can lead to ringland failure.... You really need to rule this out with a compression test. Any decent garage would be able to do this within an hour or so.


Not trying to put the frighteners on you, but best to rule this out first if I was you.

thanks Robert, i had read the numerous pages regarding the engine, hope thats not the case.gonna have a diagnostic test done today to rule out anything sensor wise. see where i go from there!
