Got my control arm bushes done today, no more knocking, transformed handling and haven't even had alignment yet. Thanks Raggy for those bushes, next stop actuator, 3 port bcs and caik. Hopefully should top out somewhere around 370. Very tempted by a Tomei expreme ti exhaust but not sure that I'm chav enough to carry it off, especially at my age

Having owned quite a few moderate powered Subaru's, I'm heading for 450/450 next. I think this in a hatch would make for a very stable fun car with the capability of some track action. I'd love more power, but feel that getting closer to 550-600 would probably quadruple the build cost. I'm actually hoping that a friend / mechanic will be selling his build once complete, it's certainly a one-off that'll impress, and most probably convert that hatch haters

I'll settle for the power I have at the moment although I don't know what that is

Gambit, I took your advice from an earlier post, went with Whiteline as Raggy had one set for sale. Didn't you get some US ones? Whiteline ones don't seem any harsher than oem, but maybe spec C suspension is less forgiving in the first place.

Rob, I have never driven a 2.5, and would love to try a higher power UK hatch, having been smoked by a hatch on the dual carriage way. But under 70, he was nowhere, and that's the beauty of jdm!! And if I changed the spec massively it wouldn't be the model that I imported; so I'll only be remapping, filter and a sports cat maybe in the future

no its not rotated mate its standard position ,yes still standard heads just has 14mm head studs, its a forced performance red , forced performance 83mm intake hose and larger maf housing (scaling to suit) and RCM trumpet ,, the turbo give a lot of bang for your buck as most uk turbos that are similar want double the money

here is my full spec

I know what you mean mate, but you can still get the JDM (twin scroll?) power increase without creating lag, I have witnessed many for myself that are running high power on LM version of turbo's that still create a big bang very low down in the rev range, especially when mixed with 20% meth

Unsure if you went to TOTB this year, but Brian Coward's Spec C was running circa 1.5bar hitting full boost very low down, and Iast discussion we had he was only running just over 400bhp / 450lbft, not a bad result for moderate power in a big powered event, obviously handling modifications and driver skill has a part to play too

bob used the delta dash for my figure ,, 506 was the first mapping session and found a boost leak so fixed it and then it made 531 ,,, no meth as I don't mix fuels ,, pump fuel for me only these days so it made the 531 on just v-power ,, only running 1.75bar so could of took it a bit further but was more than happy so have just left it there for now ,, if it was a track car I may have done a meth map but as its just my road car I stuck with normal fuel

Certainly impressive figures for a standard position turbo, thought anything up and around the 500 mark had to be rotated, going to speak to my garage and mapper and look into a FP turbo possibly. Cheers mate

Import Car Parts have them, you can get part number off there I think, or just buy them from there as I did.

thanks, icp never replied, but those Whiteline ones are similar compound to Group N rubber ones. The hatch Group N ones are pillowball, so too harsh

Your front suspension seems to be sitting higher at the front than the back mate. May just be my eyes

Standard wheel arch height (centre of wheel to arch)

Front 371mm +12/-24mm

Rear 365mm +12/-24mm

It's also a bit of an optical illusion - the "side on" low angle shot exaggerates the tyre to arch clearance as the wing is nearer the eye than the tyre, plus the ground is not level.

Finally getting the car looking like I want, got the rear vinyls and lense to put on but the wheels make such a difference! Huge thanks to Pete at Prestige Car Bodies, and Evan for the wheels! Great to meet some local people! Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2!

And with my fast-road TF160 (non-Veyron'd thank god!) - same wheels, just bigger!

Default Sti hatch OEM mud flaps / splash guards

Hello guys. Could really do with some help....

Can anyone help with where to find the STI splash guards (mud flaps) OEM ones from subaru for the 2008 STI hatch? Part number is SEAAFG2000.

They are the moudled ones ones that are moulded to fit the OEM arch liner that were offered as an accessory from the dealships. My 330s came with them fitted.

Seem really difficult to find from any dealers as they are discontinued from subaru. But surely there must be a set sitting in some warehouse somewhere on the planet. Could anyone shed some light and advice on how I could find some?? Would Japan be a good place to search??

cheers,

anth
