I'd stick with the same size front and rear, if you don't then you'll damage the drivetrain if the rolling radius isn't spot-on.

Not suprisingly 245/40/ZR18 on my anthracite GT1's also. Not P zero's though, dealer sourced Goodyear F1a's.

Hi all,

Id be greatful if any of you new sti hatch owners have experienced any screeching/grinding noises under braking? I dont mean slight noise, i'm on about LOUD grinding/whirring noise just as the car comes to a standstill to the level of being too embarrassed to brake in public.

I just bought an 08 sti and subaru are saying its not a warranty issue as the brakes function fine.

To everyone that is PM'in me about the REV / ipod guages

I'm sorry but I cannot help you with regards to the SAT NAV head unit as I have a Kenwood 7029 head unit so I dont know what connections you require.

I believe some1 on here a couple of pages back has mentioned they had to purchase a lead from USA or Japan to connect.

I did hear it said that there has been an issue where the pads have broken up but if Subaru have seen it then I wouldn't think it was that.

Never had any problems with the brakes on mine.

Interesting video Dave.
That exhaust looks a lot more sensible than the "round the houses" bendy ones available over here !
Hope the horrible noise straight after the run was "music" and not the engine !

Looks like different dia and width rims F/R (= diff problems ?), no access to rear seats, totally impractical body kit.
Looks great
As long as you don't drive it !

I assume the poster is talking about the "seat mod" that others have done to their underwhelming USDM seats. It involves unlatching the seatback support inside the seat and allowing it to remain in place unconnected. I have not done this mod and do not intend to because the stress is transferred from the seatback frame to the seams in the fabric. I suspect their seats will begin to tear at the seams over time.

You are right !
Just spent a week in Tromso - £9 for a glass of wine, £30-40 for a main course in a typical restaurant You guys must earn a fortune to be able to live there !!!!!!

Amazed at the number of cars with the big rally lights - but having been out on the roads to the Finnish and Swedish borders at night, I know why !

Great people + nearly all speak English (handy as I don't know one word of Norwegian !)
Stan

PS Great photos !!
