All done thanks fellas. Took the gaitors off both the gear shifter and handbrake which left me room to take that screw out. Then just a lot of trying to find the right angle to get it out. All the arm rest plastics are primed, just sanding down the centre console piece now, then spraying tomorrow.
I couldn't tell as I had to prodrive cat back fitted at same time. Slightly more burble but to be honest it still sounds as if it could get away with being factory noise levels

I think i've look at the wrong line on my rev counter.. what I thought was the 500rpm.. is actually the 750rpm.. so my revs might be right lol

what you think?

I like the black roof Phil, not sure of the interior lighting / camera effect?
I've decided against getting mine resprayed white, purely down to cost and resale implications!
Anyway mine idles here
Looks and feels about right.

Full car wrapped properly costs about 1200-1700. Least you can take it off when you've had enough.
It also means you can buy a car in a rubbish colour that's cheaper then wrap it in the colour you want.

How do you deal with a stone chip?
Do you wash and dry the car normally as though it wasn't even wrapped?
Going to get my remap much sooner than planned, for piece of mind, who's top choice in the midlands? Scoobyclinic is obvious choice but expensive with ECUtek licence fee on top, what exactly is the total cost at scoobyclinic? And what do you get? Andy hammond is recomended but a long way off, although he did mention doing like a high and low boost map option etc, there is also opensource like thwaites developments who seem to come in cheaper and are also recomended, clearly im not going to just go to the cheapist but want most for my money.

Duncan (racedynamix) is worth a call, he comes to you and either maps on the road or at a rolling road depending on garage. Give him a call 07540 185754, he'll let you know prices and options. Open source was roughly £350 last time I seem to remember.

stone chips I'd say it will give better protection than paint work as it's got a bit of 'give' to it.
wash like normal and dry off with micro fibre towel. Don't was it!! you can get a quick detail spray for mat finish wraps.. I'm going to look into that

who did your side stripe?

I got mine done in county down N.I. Company called blackwater graphics. I would say you could order of them.
I did look into getting the whole car done in carbon but couldn't get a match with real carbon bit and bobs on the car.

Yes Duncan mapped my 08 STI back in 2009, very happy with the results, gave me piece of mind over the oe map and never missed a beat a the time I owned the car.
Oh sounds good, what area is he based? What power did you run? Seems a gd price if it produces a gd safe map for my car, thats better than the oem, he seems well regarded here and on midland scooby after a bit of research, thanks

He travels all over so sure he can get to you when he has some more business in your area.
I was running approx 345bhp with ppp backbox, deres centre pipe, second cat delete, cosworth replacement filter and a ZeroSports intake pipe, but for me it was more about the safer map.

Hi guys,
Dont know if this is a bad sign but was driving last night and noticed i had a flat spot in the power band at around 5500RPM for a few miliseconds then it picked back up again. By the end of the journey it was back to normall and was ok this morning too. Has anyone else had this?

I had mine done by Simon @ Jolly Green Monster (also very mobile)who is also a very respected mapper and has got mine running at 353 BHP and 392 ft/lbs with a fully decatted H&S and a Pro R back box and a k&n panel filter and runs very nice and much improved over the standard map
