I'm thinking of changing my fog light bulbs to a white LED type. What kind of light bulbs do I need? Is it hard to change?

Anything other than what is fitted as standard or yellow will be useless in the fog, white light reflects off of fog and does not go through it like yellow light.

About an hour to swap over the controls etc. came off the splines fairly easily if I remember correctly and lined up straight on refit.

Needing your help. Could one of you please take me some detail photos of your headlining in the area of where a roof vent may be fitted.

I need to have a first hand look inside the hatch at this area but im pretty sure i can get the Spec C flap in there. I just need to know if i can make it look OEM on the inside.

Any help with images would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks mate. the light binacle wiould be binned in favour of any vent anyway.

It's been done before, But there is no proper means of fixing the metal bracket to the roof at the front if I recall.

I'll go take some shots of mine and pull the light out too.

Yes been done already, there was a post about a year ago of a red STI from Sweden I think, the poster said it was a Spec C, it certainly had a flap.

 

 

Rob that's superb thankyou. I'm almost now 100% sure I can fit the new age Spec C vent in there. Everything I was hoping would be there I there.

OK .... So today for the first 15 minutes of into town (central London) driving I'm getting a whzzzz transmission sound. A bit like a quiet ppg box, once warm it diss appears ? Did seem particularly whirry on a r hand tight bend - once.

Drive home (car parked in sun) - silent.....

Hmmh. I'm guessing something's wearing out - or low on lube ?

Gearbox oil ?

Any other possibilities guys.

get it in to dealers and get them to drive it to see what they think

 

Possible Baulk Ring noise. This box was prone to them being noisey when cold or luke warm, some werent, think it was look of the draw

 

Rob i will have a crack with you on saturday but I have completed the 1st of 5 baffle plates same as the prodrive group N baffled sumps just need a supply of twin scroll sumps to complete and a bit of alloy welding.I will bring one over to LWV at the weekend for you to have a look at.

its on the chassis plate under the bonnet in engine bay, not sure of exact location

 

On the hatch it's on the n/s door pillar at the bottom if I recall ....
