Got my Cosworth panel filter done this morning, can see now why the car was struggline. old filter full of insect life!!!!!
Thought they would have checked the condition of it during the last serice

Are the pistons "downgraded" on hatchbacks?
"I think its the pistons they run, in order to reduce oil consumption and noise they seem to have made them very fragile, either that or the piston>bore tolerance is very tight.
The 06/07 cars were nowhere near as fragile. With similar safety margins I see maybe 1 in 100 have an issue, with the 08> its more like 1 in 5, not very good odds I'm afraid hence my reservations."

This made the engine quieter and less likely to develop piston slap.
The result is a piston that is very sensitive to DET.... but runs really quietly!

new bolts??? how come? all yours f'd!!!
did i answer your question about the gasket?
i thought that the guys used the existing one but they work so fast they may have!!!
i know they used loadsa stuff from a tube & gun when joining together

Dont trust the cat to centre section bolts, may shear as they are very thin and awefully rusty, so bought new ones, may as well do it right. New gasket ordered too.
Going on tomorrow. Will get some photos up when I get it finished
thats if you can tear yourself away from driving it with that amazing sound that will come from the new zorst

I have a Haywood and Scott 2.5" straight pipe into 3" back box for sale if interested.
PM me.
Its still twin exit both sides 100mm so looks the same as PP one but its twin box so each exit has its own silencer....sounds awsome.
Better flow but no need for a re-map as its still 2.5" middle as PP kit.
its the best sounding pipe I could find.
It is pretty loud.
2 months old only.
Best offer secures.
cost me about£750 for all the bits to make it all work.

Nope it's never been able to program that feature from the keypad.
Kyle, the nuts on show, do they sit in flush to the spacer so the alloy sits flush against the face of the spacer, hope that makes sense?
Or are there recesses in the back of the alloy that they sit into so the alloy again sits flush to the spacer?
Get them on for us so we can have a looksy!!

The back of the BBS alloys have recesses to allow the nuts to fit (hopefully have enough clearance..I was expecting the nuts to be shallower...) The pic shows them in their counter sunk locations as per installed on the hub.
