I will be on Full Boost by around 3700Krpm With the Manifold im using...

Im not the 1st using a vf23 on the cupra nor the last hence we had data to prove it...

even a Gt3071R on the 1.8t Hits full boost at 4.1krpm and makes 460bhp...

With the Tubuar Underslung manfold and massive runners and 3'' downpipe helps it out...Plus with the Large Sem manifold and 70mm throttle bodie it goes like stink..

I had done my searching and i gathered plenty of advice from jabbasport..Even the ihi's aint strong in anway they produce good fast spool on the 1.8t hence people using them...

The Vf23 on a 1.8T will max out completly at 332bhp (proven Numberous times at jabbasport) thats it ran at 1.2bar settle and a 1.6bar ish spike..

Even so 330bhp in a 1100kg car will be fun...

You have listed a VF22 in your first post and now you are referring to a VF23? I have a GT3071R based GT30 hybrid on my car currently and on the road makes full boost at 4.2k rpm, so would assume it would be later on a 1.8 engine.

Yeah banny i need to change it..

My own fault its a vf23 p20 which has slightly faster spool up..

On the 1.8t its down to the design of the manifold hence why the race equal lenght manifolds are 1300+ massive runners ect..

I started Bolting it all together today

This is what i have to start with and all my other bits should arrive here this afternoon...(All My Hoses And Fixings ect...)

ive also got a Bracket of a lad off here to move my gear selectors over to make room for a larger 3'' tip...So im gonna Ditch the reducing bit(black) with a Full 3'' then reducer it to 57mm(compressor Size)

I also stook some Stickers on the car thats ive had for a while...Car defo needs a clean tho as its been sat for 3weeks and is under a Massive tree lol..

As for the Oil Feed Line I can use my K03 OEM one But i need a Special Bolt From JS or JBS to go through the Banjo as its a Odd Size and Thread...

Received My AFR Setup with some over bits and bats..

Just got a massive boxs of bits now lol

Also Started Stripping down the other block ive got...as if funds allow il get it bored out to make it a 1.9...Il have to buy then is some correct pistons

Been really Busy tonight...

My main goal was to get the silicone Parts Cut and fitted so gives me more time to consentrate on bigger things ...

I firstly Wired up my AFR gauge...Its Still in Learn Mode till i connect the sensor hence the numbers ...

My full 3'' tip with Merlin Sealant Bungs..Its fits Snug at the moment but with the bracket should give me that bit more room..

The Engine Bay so far its abit messy as i ran out of light but its slowly becoming a IHI

The manifold..

I thought id Better pull my finger out so started at 8am today and ive just finished 5pm...Ive had a very constructive day tbh and very pleased that everything went really well...apart from the ****ing oil line i might have swore a couple of hundred thousand times but got it on in the end...

First job of the day was to get the Gear linkage bracket on which ended up me having loads of room for a Large 3'' tip all the way down to the compressor wheel which then in turned in to 57mm around 2'' away from it...

The Bracket which i copied for anyone who might want it..was a peice of **** to fit i couldn't belive it..

So i got all the coolant & oi lines on,Cut and Mounted the Tip,Fitted Gearlinkage bracket,Fitted ECS thermastate & Sump plug,Bolted turbo up,Fitted walbro Fuel pump & braided lines with finishers..

All ive got todo now is tidy up the wiring inside the Car and engine bay,Fit 1 oil banjo bolt to the block, wirer up walbro then fill her up with oil and start her up...

Seems to be alot going on in the bay but theres no way to smartan it up abit...I could tidy it up abit but im gonna leave that for another time...gonna get ready and go to the pub

No mate i have'nt....

One step Closer now:..
Cars getting Picked up @ 4pm on friday to be trailer up to stockport for the Downpipe to be made up..Ive requested 1 EGT Port & 3 lambda Ports...
So ive taken the Front Bumper off to give me something todo & Started to clean it all up Around My FMIC & engine Bay as it was Covered in Oil From were ive been Working...
Im Just Confused on which Lambda Sensor Went were I did right it down But its gone Missing...I know theres 1x Brown Plug & 1x black Plug i just need to Now which colour is Pre & post lambda...
Another question ive got to ask...Do the Sequence go Like this:
EGT Sensor
Pre Lambda Sensor
AFR Senor
Post Lambda Sensor
Can the AFR Sensor Be a few Inches Behind the Pre Lambda ?
Also Some Piccys...as usal
