How do you get the actuator arm through, do you cut a hole in the blanket?

Yes looks good. Im interested too. vf28.

My stock heatsheild has had to be cut to fit around my huge DP so a little more heat protection is required for me to be happy.

Guys, Well I was thinking I could get a better price .....but last time we brought these in exchange rates were a lot better .

Very best I can offer is £75+vat and £4 delivery on a group buy as I am now out of stock .... our jackets do however fit up to a Td0518g were those ebay ones only fit TD04 turbos. I will also give a years warrantly.

If anyone is interested i'll post in the Group buy section .

Bought mine for £80 quid and fitted it today.

Nice and snug, looks a good piece of kit very happy with it.

Even though my car doesn't go at the moment, it looks nice

Thank you to CDF Racing, wrap is just what I needed too

Scott

This is Gemini from BSTFLEX. We are the manufacture of turbo blanket. So we are low price and high quality. Do you still interest in it? If so, please contact with me.

Maybe an idea to start a group buy if possible, there are a few of us who are interested in different size blankets, I would want one for a td05 20g dependent on quality and price.

Other than that go for it

I have no intention of starting the group but I meant for the person who posted about his blankets to start a group buy, but quality and price amongst other factors obviously.

I paid £48 for mine for my VF48 in 2011 and it's still going strong now! Worked out to be very good quality and fit.

Help me out guys as I'm not a techie (as most of you know )
Is a vf48 the standard turbo that came with the my00 turbo car ?

I assume it replaces the old rusty heat shield ?

Any photos of one fitted as the eBay one looks ok for £48 +del
Although I go for the cdf one as it has the nice logo on as I'm all show under the bonnet
Amd I like the idea of the headers ? With a blanket over them to cover up the rusty bits

The Perrin one looks good though and colour scheme would suit along with a posh logo

do you know guys which blanket will fit for vf36? most sellers can't answer that and just saying that if it's between 7"-9" then it will fit or it will fit to all T3 turbos

Allbeit the VF36 is twin scroll, the compressor housing is about the same size as the other vf35 type units. So normal T3 blanket should fit fine I think.

Nope, the VF48 is only standard on later (hatch) STI models from 07 onwards. Your car has had a turbo upgrade at some point. VF48 is better suited to teh 2.5L but still ok for the 2.0L.

Yes. Most people take off and throw away the standard heat shield to fit the turbo blanket. However, Rich @ FB Tuning modified my standard heat shield to fit back over the turbo blanket so mine still looks (almost) factory and has effectively 2 heat shields between the turbo and iuntercooler. Much better!

Sorry don't have any pics of mine fitted as you can only see the standard heat shield over the top.
