The reason I’ve got problems is because this is my view…..
It was perfect until the minute it changed to a wap friendly one the other day. All other websites are fine on the phone. (N95 8GB).
I know its got to be a problem with my phone or settings but I’ve tried everything and don’t know how to resolve it????? Any ideas?

Goto www.opera.com on your mobile, then under Opera Mobile, download and install the Opera Mini application.
Its just a different browser to access the web but you should find that the download speeds are a revelation compared to the original supplied one!! The page scroll tool is nice too.

When viewing this site though, the random garage pictures show up fine, but I can't view any from the Members Gallery Any ideas?

Exactly the same as the last two posts above above for me.
Used scoobynet daily on Opera via my mobile and it was absolutely superb.
The day the mobile version went live that was the end of it for me. Never worth viewing scoobynet any more I’m afraid.
That’s the pictures just above of how I have to view scoobynet now. Complete waste of time. Unfortunately the mobile version appears not to be compatible with all browsers.
I’d really like the mobile or desktop version option please (Same as you get with google home page too), which would solve my problem as Opera always looks for a mobile version.
Can Internet Brands Stu please get back to us and let us know

The mobile version works brilliant on both mini Opera and the standard Nokia browsers on my N95 too, but before the mobile site was introduced you used to be able to view the full contents with mini Opera on the N95 as if on a normal PC/Mac - if I go to Members Gallery I cannot see any images in the posts, nor can I see full smilies, or the image below:

Hi guys,
We cant offer the version you want that gives you the option at teh moment but if you can tell me what teh phones in question announce themselves as I can have a look at tweaking the parameters a little so the newer phones get sent the full version.

Stu – reading through the posts even some people who can access the full site are not seeing the pictures, etc. Is the mobile site causing more problems than it’s worth?
If I’ve got it right it came about through “Jonnys3” requesting a quicker way of viewing scoobynet on his mobile (at the start of this thread). We gave him that by directing him to Opera, which is great.
If you look at post #44 above he says Opera was working fine until the mobile version came about! Do we really need it????
For the record I’ve just upgraded to the latest firmware on my Nokia N95 8GB.
The standard browser will now view the pictures but its so slow its hardly worth the wait – that’s not scoobynet’s fault – the standard browser is generally slow with everything. (And that was Jonnys original problem too)
With the Opera browser, it’s still the same, viewing a very limited mobile version of scoobynet, which isn’t worth viewing at all (same as the piccys post #36 above).
Opera will always look for a mobile version and that’s our problem, if it wasn’t there the full site would load up rapidly, pictures and all, on Opera.

That’s it – brilliant – thanks Stewart.
Opera can now view the whole scoobynet site, pictures and all, and is as fast as ever compared to the standard phone browser.
I hope this rectifies most of the problems others were experiencing too.
Thanks for sorting this, Carl.

Worked fine on my 5800, BB and Opera Mini on the BB.
Maybe one of the problems with text not displaying is font size chosen on the device.

As for do we really need it.... I think the answer is YES. Does my opinion count? And Trout's

Yes of course it does Snazy and Trout.
Hopefully Stu can sort something out in the near future to help us all out, but take a look at the pictures in post #36 above. (That’s meant to be members gallery by the way!) That’s what you get with scoobynet mobile on Opera and it can happen with standard browsers too.
If you can still view scoobynet as it looks normally on a pc but its just running slow on your phone than that’s got to be preferable to what was being viewed above for others (i.e. virtually un-useable, no photos, etc, etc).
Hopefully it can be resolved with something like the version option or url as has been suggested to keep everyone sweet.
