in all the years I have been shooting I have only had to kill a pigeon with my hands once. Aim to kill it first time or dont pull the trigger, having said that having a .25 pellet doesnt leave much alive

I am often involved in a spot of piegon shooting at the construction site i work on. We have an influx of piegons that have got in the building and are nesting and sh1tting everywhere.
Obviously only do this when the building is quiet and after all the operatives have gone.
I use my old trusty BSA Supersport Mk2 with a Tasco 3 x 9 x 40 sight. Recently invested in a silencer and its a good piegon stopper. Usually get clean kills but its not pleasant when you dont get it right first time and they squark and flap around. Its then that you have to execute them close range. I dont like seeing things suffer so prefer to make it quick.
I use .177 pointed pellets, get good penetration but a head or neck shot is best for the rats with wings.
Always used to do target shooting before but since working on my current site my marksman skills have been put to other uses.

Na sold her a "As New" 22 Air Riffle with 700 rounds!
