There are good, and bad Japanese products, just like anything else. Most of the HKS products are very good. Some products are very good in the UK, some are awful, just like there are good tuners, and bad tuners, ALL OVER THE WORLD, EVEN Japan.

I'm not familiar with all the available ecu's, and I doubt ANYBODY is, even JUN. I know there are better ecu's out there, than I use, but my ecu does everything I need it to.

Personally, I avoided the HKS tuning products, because IMHO, there isn't anyone in this country that who know's it well enough. If I lived in Japan, my views may be different.

Yes I know TDI, yes I've even used them, yes I know people who they have tried to tune HKS products for, and yes my opinions of them are based on these experiences. Notice the word "experiences".

I've had a Japanese company, with a branch in the UK tell me that they could change all my engine barings, without even taking the engine out !!!!!!

You seem to be under the impression that 340bhp is something "special", and whilst I would agree that it's very good, there are quite a few 340bhp+ cars around these days. Including UK spec' cars......

Lastly, if I had 340bhp, I'd be gutted

370Beast sorry but it sounds like you are a victim of marketing as I was. I have spent over 16k on my car and it is probable one of the nicest inthe UK. But quicker than others I know it isn't.
Craig Mark and Theo have buckes of experience and respect to them as I know real figures of realt times and dynos they have done.
