Just to butt in. I have resorted to using Firefox for SN now. The back button issue doesn't happen using it, so all is well. However, I have just checked on IE, and it is still happening on there.

I'm using IE7.

I have a 'back' button on the mouse which doesn't work
Right click and back doesn't work (which I normally tend to use a lot as it's easier than going to the top left of the window)
Back button top left of the window doesn't work.

Not surprising really as they're all using the same command effectively.

Double clicking the back button does seem to work.

It just refreshes the same page instead of going back (on IE).

For me (IE7 XP SP3) pressing the back button in the main list of threads it refreshes the page.
Actually in the individual thread it will go back to the list of threads

Yes still happening, on some ocassions you click the mouse once and you will hear a double or triple click in quick succession, as if it's trying to force the issue and then refreshes.

Same here. I press the back button and you here a 'double-click' noise. The all I get is the same page refreshed. Using IE7. Happens on both my work and home pc.

Same for me also.

Have there been any improvements at all to SN recently? I've not really been on this past month due to the silly slow speeds of the forum and I've come back on this morning to check the forum and its worse than ever.

Still unbelievably slow (30 seconds to load this second page of this thread!! ), and now my back button doesn't work!! I have my back button mapped onto my mouse and it works fine for all other forums.

IB are risking losing lots of SN members if the site doesn't improve soon, I'm off again now and will check back properly in the summer.

So in effect, your saying if you now press the page 1 selector on this topic, followed by pressing the BACK button, you will stay on page 1 of the thread, it will just keep refreshing the page instead of bringing you back to page 2?

Thats how we are reading it and we cant get any browser version to replicate that on our machines...

I don't know about others, but just had a check on IE. What it does in the above situation if I begin looking on page 2, click on page 1, if I press the back button, it takes me back to page 2, which is what should happen, but then if I click again, it should come out of the thread, but it just keeps refreshing page 2, if that makes sense. When I manage to get back to the bugs/feature menu, if I try to back out, again it just keeps refreshing that page, rather than taking me back to the main forum page.

To note, this happens in IE (not sure which version I have), but FF is fine, works as it should.
