BMW M3 Evo convertible - brought new in 98', 65K miles later, lives in the garage most of the year. Its my baby and will be my son's first car ( in 16 years time :-) )

Toyota Supra Turbo - brought by my father new in 90', brother took over the car in 2000, and still drives it. 200K, still pulls like a train.

Must take quite a lot of legwork though? What if an 8cyl engine explodes? Surely the car's write-off then?

I do fancy an old SL for weekends away.

14 years ownership of Renault 5 Turbo 2 as per my Username/Avatar (Sept 1994 - Nov 2008). Taxed and on the road throughout this time, but it had still only covered a genuine 25,000 miles by the time I sold it.

Nothing I've owned drew so much public attention and put such a big smile on my face and that includes 22B, WRX, Integrale and Renault GTA Turbo.

Current Astra - almost four years from new.

My mk2 Golf GTI was mine for 2 years but was "passed down" from Mum who had it for 10 years.

Classic 2L turbo, just over 9 years with 35k, been sat in the garage for 6 months as I couldn't bear selling it for nothing.
Even changed the oil last Saturday, not talking to it yet though

Yeah, it can be a pain travelling for ebay bangers! I don't do it so much these days.

If they break they get binned. I must say that I've owned 50-70 old smokers (mainly mercs) and apart from a blown fuse and an exhaust falling off in Glasgow (400 miles still to go!), I have never been let down.

Longest I've owned one is 2years for a B6-series A4. Tend to keep cars for about a year generally.
