Some quick snaps of my new extinguisher fitted.
Mounted on 4mm thick billet aluminium bar, its strong and light. Fits a treat. Huge thanks to Dave for sorting this. 100% recomended purchase

Top drawer service as usual from Alyn at AS Performance. 2 sets of plugs and some running in oil arrived today. Cheers Alyn

Just need to find some spare time to put the engine in now

Just fuel rails and injectors left to fit. Rails should be back this week. The new powdercoated manifold is so nice. Its almost 100% OEM finish and shade.

Soon as i get a free day and its not pissing with rain mate. Working alot of hours at the moment but soon as i can im going to drop it back in
Cool,i used the earls swivel 90deg fittings but squashed the pipe in too much, had to use a banjo and a 45deg off that, must either be your rails that are a tad narrower or your twisted kit sits more angled to the suspension tower'strut.
subscribing - bit late I know but have been reading this thread with great interest, thought about time to get the updates sent to me! I cant wait to see her finished, awesome work that most people can only aspire to, including myself as I'm looking to embark on an engine project myself this year

Thanks a lot guys.
Comments like that mean a lot. Its always nice when other enthusiasts appreciate the amount of effort that goes into my work.
My car was always kept very clean and looked after so I don't think it will actually get that dirty. Partly why i powder coated a lot of items, as it makes them much easier to clean. Almost all exterior fasteners are also stainless so they should stay nice too. However this wasn't and still isn't a show car of any sorts. Once built it will be used just like any other. I take huge pride in doing this and try to do everything to a standard that is above par.
Thankyou for taking the time to follow the build.
Iain, best of luck with your build. If you get stuck or need anything that I can help with. Please get in touch

Wow, incredible engine finish.. I'm extremely **** about finishing work and always get disappointed when I see people rebuild engines and they look dreadful on the outside.. sure it technically probably doesn't affect the internals much, but its just pride in your work.. can't wait to see it fitted into the car either

No mate. Firstly, I want an OEM look and finish as close as possible. So clean black covers are the perfect choice. Secondly, powdercoat involves baking up to 400 degrees c. The plastic covers would melt a treat. Lol
