Quick snap of proto 3 now ready to test fit.
It now forms a complete panel to cover the inside of the wing. This one has the 83mm top hat in the bottom for my cold air feed.

So hopefully this one should be absolutely spot on in all areas and fit perfect as is. Once this is fitted and i get my power steering lines back i can get the motor dropped back in.

What do you think guys?

Funny you say that as ive had a couple of request from the Classic boys.
So hopefully once this one is nailed i can get a classic one made up and a few run off.

If anyone has any images they can PM me of the classic wing area so i can see what obsticles i will face over the newage one.

Okay guys,

Proto #3 of the wingsert is finished and slotted into place. Here it is just rested in with no fixings at all and as you can see it fits pretty much perfectly. Now it has a full molding of the inner wing so now makes for a much cleaner, tidier fitting part. Once this is bonded in i hope to make it look as much like an OEM part as possible.

Im really quite please at how this has come out.

Just this left to fit and the PAS lines to modify and then the bay will be ready to have the motor dropped back in.

Hi Frayz,

I'm a brand new member and yours was one of the first threads I read. As countless people have before me I wanted to let you know how incredible the job you're doing is and how much i've enjoyed the read.

For me it's your attention to detail and determination to get things just right, or as close as you possibly can, that makes your car special and a joy to read about.

I'm looking forward to reading more now that i'm up to date with your progress, so hurry hurry!

Fraser.

Ah cheers mate, thanks for making my thread your first post. Thanks for taking the time to read about what I'm up to. I hope the things I do help inspire some of the other guys out there doing builds of their own.

Made a wee bit more progress today. Got the perspex template made for the wingserts I hope to sell. Also got the boost pipes and PAS pipes dropped off to be altered. Also dropped off some more parts to be powdercoated and purchased a load more stainless fasteners.

Some more fittings and a race thermostat arrived today too.

I can't wait to get the motor dropped back in now and get on that final homeward run towards turning the key.

Just the PAS lines and boost pipes to come back now before we can drop the motor back in. I also hope to have the first batch of wingserts this week, so they will be going out to people as soon as they arrive and im happy that theyre 100%
