Just looking to help fund my project a little. Hopefully do a few other custom parts too as I always seem to get good feedback on the things I'm doing.

Lol,
The wingsert i can deffo do. Once the design is complete and i can get a batch made up i'lllet you guys know first.
As for my rails, i could get some scanned and then CNC cut but im not sure at what price i could make them. Carl Daveys rails are beautiful but he doesnt do the brackets for the Spec C manifold at the moment.
Also i know i couldnt compete with the cheap chinese ebay rails either.
Carls Rails are £225 is i think, you can always make up your own brackets to suit?

Wing insert looks miles better now that it covers the wing cut-out. Very OEM.
Others have mentioned it, you really should see if you could get some clear cambelt covers made.
I'm sure there's a market for them.

Mickey, OEM covers for me only. I have completely stock cam pulleys so nothing to see under there anyway.
Lee, I still have a few design changes to do on the newage wingsert. Once that's complete I'll test fit in a classic and see how it fits if at all.
I also need to have a good think about how people run their intercooler pipework. Trying to cater for different pipe runs of all the different setups out there will be almost impossible. So I may just leave people to make up their own pipe routes.
Although it would be nice to supply a kit with hardware and a cutting template. Ducting and intake trumpets I could supply at extra cost. Also need to decide on what size ducting people would most like to use.
All stuff that needs thought.

The chap who has made your wing insert should have no difficulty vacuum forming some clear belt covers.
You trial fit them, get them produced, and sell them.
Sorted.
Might add you on Farcebook......

Mick, don't you think if it was that straight forward someone would have done it a long time ago?
The impreza belt covers are complex injection mouldings with compression sleeves and other integral inserts. The initial cost to produce such items would be huge.
Then once you've forked out to have them made, they would need to be polished in order to be fully transparent. Then you'd need to sell them for a crazy price only for the owner to remove them every other week to clean all the crap out of them.
Not cost effective, purposeful or practical I'm afraid. Pointless IMO.
Sorry fella. ;-)

Frayz ill be looking to buy some rails to fit spec c mani over the next few weeks so im in,only ones i can find available at present are some from chy @ penine, aka jetkart on ebay and he wants £220,if you think yours will be lower priced ill hang on,not a tight git,its just that every little helps when im working to a budget to finish mine.

Totally understand about the pricing mate. Obviously it costs me more to get just one set made than if i were to get a batch made.
Does that £220 inc fittings/hardware etc?
Let me see what i can do and i'll get back to you asap.
Drop me a PM if need be

Talking of fuel rails... here's a little look at some of the early stages of giving Frayz's rails a bit of bufty
Here's the starting point...
Initially I spent some time on the one section getting a feel for the alloy as there are different grades about so you need to be aware how much pressure to apply and what mops to use because you can put more marks in than remove if your not carefull.
Very pleased with that so it was time to do the whole rail to bring more of the finish up....
I have not touched the second rail yet as I wanted to keep it for comparison.
I'm not finished with it yet there's still some work in there to get the fine marks out which will bring the lustre out even deeper..
Very pleased so far but there still some left in it yet
How's that young un

Sorry about the cak fone pic, but tonight i cut the hole for the turbo boost pipe. Im still going to modify the pipe bends so it fits a little cleaner but so far so good. This should keep the boost hose under the air filter and out of sight. Leaving the wingsert to do its job of just feeding in cold air to the filter without disruption or clutter from the boost pipework.
Hammer Man, i hope this helps you
