T26 WRC - Frayz Engineering WRC S8 TARMAC SPECIAL - aka THE BOMBER
Frayz, I cant quite believe what I'm reading here
Your close to having completed one mighty fine impreza, stick at it.
If its getting you down take some time out, chill for a bit and put it to the back of your mind then come back to it all later when the mind set is refreshed
Take care buddy

It does sound very much like your mind is made up. I've been there done that...not as huge project as yours but....and I did end up breaking mine.....still regret and wonder what it would be like on the road....

Hi frayz, only just read about your project on the thread, have been away for a while since owning a VW, back now with another Scoob so its Scoobynet again in my lunch hour! Stick with the project, youve got this far, to turn back now would be crazy, youve bulit an absolutely stunning Scoob and have kept us lot entertained with updates of the project from the beginning. Id love to have the time and money to do a project like yours, alot of people would think whats the point but you can tell from reading this entire thread that you get a buzz from doing this build. Yeah, you have had a set back from parts being unavailable (over a year for a set of coilovers is a sick joke) but your get there in the end. Take a bit of time out and crack on with it when the parts turn up.
Keep us updated.

Well ive sorted a few things and hopefully it will be sticking around. Ive swapped some things about and located a crank elsewhere. I should have a brand new EJ257 crank at my door first thing in the morning.
So with that said it looks like i'll be at least starting the bottom end assembly as soon as i get a spare minute.
Also got a few other parts today, i'll post some pics later.
This is a somewhat happier me

Also got a few other parts today,
ARP stud/nut kit

New clutch release and spigot bearings

RCM Modified oil pump

Fuelab billet fuel filter with -6an fittings

Genuine Subaru piston rings

Power Enterprises kevlar timing belt

Also picked up some new rocker cover gaskets today too. Still waiting on a fair few more parts but at least the list of "things to buy" is slowly getting smaller lol.
