Quantum of Solace

It was the title of a short story by Ian Fleming that appeared in another James Bond book.
In regards to this film though I felt it meant that by the end of the film JB feels a bit consoled that Vespa actually loved him, but circumstances forced her to betray him, but ultimately she gave her life for him.
He may also feel consoled that he caught the 'boyfriend' and top man, though Mr White is still alive.
I can see Mr White appearing again, so JB can have his full revenge

Last night I watched Quantum of Solace and don't get me wrong, the film had lots of action, but the story line what rather hard to follow, e.g. nonexistent. I think I am going to have to watch the film a good few more times before I can understand what is going on.
I did not like the location changing every 5 minutes - one minute they are in Spain and the next they are in Haiti. There was a bit too much killing making Bond an cold blooded killer.
I don't like this new Bond style, hard core brutish killer, I much preferred the more sophistication and glamor of the old Bonds. Does anyone feel the same?

what i couldn't follow was the follow on story from Casino Royale, I think it would be best to watch again the 1st film then watch the second. Just so you can re remember the charactures in it.

Yes, its best to watch CR again before you watch. QOS, then the whole thing flows.
I've watched both a couple of times now, and only then do the two really make sense. To me that shows there is actually a good plot that all makes sense in the end but it takes a bit of effort to get the most out of it. That's a lot more tjan can be said about lots of other recent Bond films

I watched it yesterday and although I rate Daniel Craig as a Bond, it lacked the all of the charm and sophistication I thought 007 was all about.
Casino Royale was an awesome film IMO and QoS was ok and although I enjoyed it, not as good as Craig's first Bond film.
