Thought I'd update slightly.... pics to follow when it's warm enough to clean her.

Now running APS SR40 turbo (341.5 BHP) with Harvey Smith Headers and Up-pipe plus Spec-C inlet (TGV delete), Samco inlet pipe and Perrin Fuel Rails. Off for another remap tomorrow with JGM!

Body wise the PFF7s are fitted - pics in earlier post dash covered in Carbon and Personalised plates

fmp - Dukes did mine great job and service - if you've not already taken the plunge give me a shout and we can meet up so you can see it first hand.

Is that still running standard internals and gearbox? Have you had any issues with clutch slip, or has that already been replaced/uprated?

Jon

PS - Don't be a ***** and get out and clean it

Std G/box and internals - clutch is a different issue - had an exedy stage 1 organic fitted with lightened flywheel about 6 months ago which let go about a week or two ago, slipping in every gear.
Just had a new stage 1 Exedy fitted by Subaru4you who noticed that the previous one had been fitted without the dowels in the flywheel which is why it had gone so quick as it wasn't properly aligned.

So you expect the Stage 1 to handle the power - only reason I ask is I'm probably going to head down the 18G route later this year, but I've a remap planned next month which will almost certainly see off the (original) clutch

That'll cap my limit then, I don't want a stage 2 in case the wife has to drive it. If her car goes off the road for some reason it would leave her and the kids stranded if she couldn't drive mine and I'd never hear the end of it

Cheers, hope the up-pipe and headers have reduced the Lag slightly, or it may just push me to plan B!

No, but it is not the on/off of a heavily uprated clutch - still I can stand by and laugh when she stall's it.

Had the car remapped on the 12th Jan with the APS SR40 Turbo and Pink injectors, as you guys know it was a tad on the laggy side so after the fitting of a new clutch and Havery Smith ported and wrapped headers and up-pipe at Subaru4you followed by a day at C.J's fitting the Spec-C manifold, Samco inlet and Perrin Parallel fuel rails it was back to Surrey Rolling Road and an appointment with JGM, to say it went well is an understatement!

For interest an overlay of the boost plots, I reckon I gained about 300rpm of spool.

After destroying a bearing on the drive back from Nurburg in May I've finally got the car back up and running!

Biggest change is the torque, max was 325lbft @ 5250rpm now peaks at 350 at 4500 and holds 350 until 5500 in fact there is 300lbft plus of torque from 3250rpm! Power wise up by 20BHP but at 3500rpm up by 100BHP!

Oh and did I mention only 1.1 Bar boost currently to keep torque down and protect the std wrx 5 speed box! Turbo was at 1.5bar on the previous map!

Still tinkering a bit!

Now running a 6 speed with AP racing clutch - the stage 1 exedy was destroyed by the torque! Have had the Pennine subaru Spec C fuel rails fitted along with a fuellab fpr. Also a few cosmetic tweaks including black mesh at the front, cold air intake and carbon (3m) fog covers. I'll be painting the intercooler black when the rad paint arrives and adding an oil cooler in the next few weeks.

Off to SRR on the 31st for a session with JGM.

They're the same ones, I damaged the original 'carbon effect' removing the sti stickers (with a high pressure jet wash)! Just covered them in the 3m Dynock Carbon.

I didn't remap immediately on the sti TMIC - the car appeared to run Ok with it on but only about 3-4 weeks before the turbo, injectors and turbo were swapped and the car mapped.

The fog covers were the Kakumi ones, great fit and very thick/strong plastic - the carbon effect was ok but did end up flaking off after me using the jet wash on full and close up to try and remove the STI stickers so would probably last some time and saves the cost of painting.

Nice result . What fuel pressure did you have to run to get the pinks to reach 405 bhp ?

Not on pinks anymore! 650s at 3bar now - The old map at 293 was on the pinks with parallel rails but the std fpr. Simon (JGM) didn't think the injectors were maxed at that level so would probably have made it to 400.

Started fitting the oil cooler - 25 row setrab, just need a spanner that I can get in to tighten the hose unions onto the the sandwich plate then should be ready to start up once the horns are refitted.

Also got oil temp and pressure gauges to fit before Thursday at Brand Hatch!

How did you mount it
