I'll provide an update of the teams tomorrow evening, because I'm hoping to get a lot more cheques in tomorrows post. Still received only 6 cheques and one funds transfer so far , but I'm hoping that this a partially down to the Royal Mail.

My cheque will be in the letterbox first thing tomorrow morning, so allowing for Consignia hitching it to the back of a snail, you should have it by Tuesday Or Wednesday latest

Put me down, and get the extra wide seat ready (and the book of excuses!), and, Carolyn, I'd be on for the indoor ski race as well but only if you can get snow tyres ready or maybe dinky little snow chains?

I'm starting to worry that some cheques have got 'lost'in the post. I'm sure some were sent the middle of last week and still haven't arrived. I have e-mailed everybody who's cheques I have received, confirming receiot.

I you HAVE already sent your cheque(s), but HAVE NOT received an e-mail from me, please can you mail me at david@harbige.net with a few details on where/when posted.

Thanks,

David Harbige

Thumbs up

David, I'm waiting on 2 cheques from my guys to arrive (hopefully today). So with any luck you'll get Team STi's cheque no later than this Friday.

I don't envy you mate. I'm having enough trouble organising my team let alone 20!

Unfortunately David, some people say the cheque's in the post when they mean they're about to post it - which can take another few days... definitely follow them up though

Looking forward to it - persevere!

Cheers

Don't worry about it too much, Tracey! It's supposed to be a fun event, and I'd hate to think that you were giving yourself an embolism worrying about the Royal Mail.

I trust you! I believe you've sent it! It'll all be fine!

P.S. Better take a dried frog pill, jst to be sure.

It's a variation on the Le Mans start.

Appologies to Carolyn - I didn't even see her post!
Have you been to the SnoZone before? If you can already ski, you'll be bored after about 10 minutes! It may be the largest indoor slope in Europe, but it's still indoors, and therefore quite short. Great place to learn, though.

P1Fanatic - Yes, I faxed back the forms today, and gave them my credit card details, so I'm now £2300 worse off. However, at the last count, I've had 14 teams and 2 individuals paid for, which is not bad going for just over a week, and means that so far I'm actually in profit!
There are also at least 5 more cheques that are on their way, and several more teams in the pipeline. In fact, it looks like we're running out of team places already! So if you anybody wants to confirm a team entry, you'd better get your money to me quick!

I'll do a full update tonight when I get home. No, really I will. Honest. I will, I will, I will, I will, I will, I will, I will!!!

Is this event open to non Scooby owners? I can probably field 1 team of Supra owners.

It's open to everybody.

It's billed as a Scoobynet Karting event, but I've got a team from my work, my wife's got a team from hers, there are (reportedly) 3 teams coming from Jordan F1 (and they all drive Hondas - can't think why ), 2 teams from EDS, several teams of "mates" or "ex-work collegues", etc. etc. etc.
Most teams will have some kind of Scoobynet link, (but maybe just one member of the team) but it's not a requirement.

However, team places are running out rapidly, and its First Paid, First Served.
