Another great first half performance from arsenal

lucky the away goal rule will be a big help if we manage to get into their box as we wont be scoring twice

DB, pants again, why wait so long for the subs. Still fingers crossed, but to be honest neither side look good enough for the quaters.

And there we see Arsenal celebrating their glorious victory over Roma to claim the Champions League trophy for 2008-09 season.....

i was at work so missed the game well apart from the pens. i seriously think wenger was going there for a 0-0 and when it got into second half started panicking. if he really wanted to win he wouldn't have waited untill the 75th and 85th minute to bring on eduardo and walcott. glad we got through though, we'll prob draw liverpool, united or chelsea in the last 16 though.

Default English clubs still invincible in Champions League

The last time Jonny Foreigner knocked out any of the English clubs in CL was the Final of 2007 (AC Milan 2 - 1 Liverpool). Even that year we had 3 of the 4 semi-finalists! Our top 4 clubs have made 5 appearances in the the last 4 finals.

Last night's results makes a total of 15 consecutive 2-leg ties between English teams and those from the rest of Europe, in which our clubs have all prevailed. Since May 2007 English clubs have only gone out in the latter stages of the competition to other English clubs.

The last time we had this sort of domination of the European Cup UEFA banned us for 5 years to give all of the other countries a chance!

couldnt really understand wengers tactics last night.

He used to do it against united, think he gets scared and changes his approach

was a much harder game than it ever should of been. long live the "beast"

Really hope all English clubs avoid each other. all English semi final would be awesome and just show how dominate we are

How was the man u game? didnt see it.

Inter were shocking, really very poor, and they lead Serie A by what, 7 points? I doubt that make the top 8 in the Premiership. God knows how bad the rest of that division is.

Disagree, Inter played well last night. They hit the woodwork twice, and if it wasn't for "best player in the world according to Moaninho" Ibrahimovic having a shocker, it would have been an awful lot closer. Utd weren't at their best, but they put 2 really good chances away.

Inter certainly played a lot better than in the first leg, but I'll admit I did expect a stirner test defensively on their part considering they are Italian, and managed by Moan.

Let's make that 17 consecutive 2-leg ties between English teams and those from the rest of Europe, in which our clubs have all prevailed!

Michel Platini must be pulling his perm out!

I reckon that will continue .

Well played Liverpool - best you've played under Rafa against poor opposition
Love it when I'm right.

Thinking about backing Arsenal for the Treble
