I have waved at everyone i've seen in nearly 5 years of ownership

And the Mrs has tutted and called me one sad bast**d each time

My husband got jealous at the weekend, he drives a yellow scania and the things people say to him when he pulls into a garage are unrepeatable.

Must admit i felt a bit of a plank and embarrassed at first, but now im ok with it and think its quite funny especially when u get somebody that goes ott with the wave lol

Also if i saw a scooby new or old broke down id stop and help and hopefully others would do the same for me!

i wave but in certain areas people are so stuck up like 4 times on finchley road i've waved at scoobies and they ignored me even after i let one out. but when i get to like willesden area i normally get waves back

Used to,stop doing it after a fellow owner pulled up next to me at a set of lights,i waved but he just give me a dirty look(he was a fellow s.i.d.c member too).

 

When I had my Scoob's I always waved. Well would be a flash of the lights and a thumbs up/raised hand off the steering wheel. Round here in pikey land most newages don't seem to cotton on, and most older classics are getting battered around by the lexus light brigade late at night.

I do it to fellow 205 (GTi) owners though and they're a polite bunch. Good to see it filtering through older, rarer cars too If I see any nice Jap car that is being driven by an enthusiast I'll give a nod off appreciation, even in my French tat

i wave to all scoobs (even hatches on the odd chance of spotting one ) but if its a blue bugeye they get a flash as well

Got me a 99 mica blue classic, got the prodrive factory fitted upgrades.... it's a nice looking car even if I do say so myself. But yep, come Sat, I will wave.

 

It's normally a competiton in our Scooby to see who can spot another Scooby first - and we always wave!

I think it's almost a 'respect' thing - saying 'like your choice of car mate'!!

Get some funny looks when I wave and realise I'm in the mondeo.......!

 

I wave, I generally find the old people (read fossils) in newages tend to be a bit ignorant.

I even do the North Yorkshire Police Scoob!

 

i walways at the scppby clan weather its classic or a brand new scoob sorry to those i miss thou i not very good a spottin others but even the police scoob gives a wave well depends on whos drivin it. i dont get this thing wiv only wavin at ppl wh o have the same scooby as you at the end of the day we all par the same thing really !!!
