It's one for the rear differential and one for the gearbox.

Engine is ready! (I think...)

I got a new idea so I had to do little more work before I could put the engine back in the car, but now (I think) it's ready to go back in...

Great project thread! You're using some top of the range stuff m8. If you're stuck for parts contact Mark at Lateral P - he's helping me with my parts and has lots of contacts.

Thank's for the kind words!

I try to make this build as reliable as possible, and that what I try to make the right choices for.
The circuit races I participate in with this car is about 45 to 55 minutes long, and this is not kind to the car...

So hopefully it will keep togheter well this season and I can get some time out in the fresh air and not in the garage all summer.

Hi, no I dont think there is any god sites about this series I race in. This is a new class that started last year and there is not so much about it on the internet yet.

There has been some progres, but it's so much to do at work now so I don't have to much time in the garage.

Turbo restoration:

Name: Foto0114.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 61.4 KB

The turbo got a new center piece, becouse the old one got slightly damaged under last season.

Exhaust ready:

Name: Foto0112.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 69.5 KB

The exhaust is made form 3,5" to 2 x 3" in the rear. Hopefully this will give good flow and be quiet enough...

Things are moving (slowly) forward:

Engine bay 98% complete, I'm just missing an airfilter and some hose for the cooling water.

Just a few more wires to sort out, and I will be ready to start some testing to see if I've done everything right.

If everything goes my way tomorrow and I dont't run into some problems can I hopefully do some testing in the evening.

There has been some progress the last weeks, but things takes a lot more time than I wish it should do...

Centerconsole is 97% finished:

Name: Foto0130.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 81.4 KB

Some initial tuning:

Name: Foto0126.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 95.3 KB

Yesterdays result on the dyno:

Name: Foto0127.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 75.0 KB

This is first adjustment so i can put some miles in it for brake in on a safe level. Boost is about 17 psi.

Peak power at 6950 rpm: 415 kw (565 hk) @ 17,2 psi boost
Maks torque: 580 nm v/6330 rpm.

When I've put some miles on it I will do a new tuning and try with 25 - 27 psi boost. I will also moeve the rpm limit to 8500 or 9000.

This is a conservative reading dyno, my car had 227 ps when it was stock and a new 2009 STi had 257 hp on this dyno.

Here's the latest week's progress to get the car ready for a big tracday event in the north of Norway on Artic Circle Raceway.

This event last for 3 days and the track time is from 9 am to 11 pm each day so you can drive as much as you want these days for about 90$.

My only drawback is that I live 1100 km from this track...

Making of skidplate under the drysump:

Size: 48.7 KB

And then I modified a Cusco undertray to fit:

Size: 50.4 KB

The car is almost finished:

Name: Foto0136.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 84.3 KB

Rear end:

Name: Foto0137.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 104.8 KB

Wheel alignment(taken 1030 pm wedensday night at a local shop):

Name: Foto0139.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 60.1 KB

Enginebay completed:

Name: Foto0141.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 80.0 KB

Car on the trailer, ready for a long trip to ACR:

Name: Foto0138.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 74.1 KB

Parked in the pitgarage after the first day on the track:

Name: Foto0142.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 73.4 KB

I didn't have any time for testing before I left for this event except the hour's we spent on the dyno, where everything worked fine.

Today I've had some problems with a sensor reading so the car won't run properly over 4500 - 5000 rpm. Hopefully I can sort this out tomorrow, so I can get some full speed rounds up here on this track.
