i wasn't making judgements about anyone in particular -- and I run AV on my computers, I just am aware\cautious of the limitations

i had that end of last year ( i think it was anti virus 2008 though)

i used malware bytes in safe mode,
i HAD kaspersky, and spybot and spyware doctor at that time and it couldn't kill it

thank god for malware bytes.
