i know does'nt time fly?

I found another great welsh road last saturday the b4407 very fast in places with small jumps and flowing bends, a real adrenalyn(sp?) pumper not one to be used for a run though as it is in parts almost a single track. if any of you do give it a go you HAVE to keep any eye out for cars coming the other way.

I will be printing route handouts tomorrow, i cant think of anything else apart from....

I've got a dodgy boost solenoid at the moment but got a three port going on on Thursday evening and a map tweak so should be at full pace by Friday. Fingers crossed.
Have installed an Xbox and 2 dvd players in the back too for some entertainment on the way.

Don't finish work in Liverpool until 5:30pm so will be close to 6:30pm when I get there but should be there on time.

 

I have been meaning to ask but is there anywhere in the area that I can give my car a quick pressure wash or hand wash before we commence , it wouldn't look too good if we were to turn up with 3000 flies splattered across the car.

Also anyone going up from the South/West Wales areas planning a convoy? I will be leaving from work in Pontypridd so Merthyr / Brecon / Builth or Llandrindod areas.

 

All us mid-wales guys are meeting at WR Davies (Shell garage) in Newtown at 5.15 for a 5.30 set off. You're more than welcome to join us

 

I'm leaving the house just after lunch, going to Chester first though to book into the hotel.
I was thinking about packing some cleaning gear to get rid of the flies, but somewhere with a hot jet wash would be better!

THE PROM HAS BEEN CANCELLED Not any of the ones we would have picked up, but a few students have dropped out.

From what I can gather, the college was'nt paying for this it was a final year student (OUT OF HER OWN POCKET) She had put up over £600 for the room and DJ but with some pulling out last minute she could not/would not put up the extra £270 so she spat out her dummy and pulled the plug (cant blame her i suppose)

I so gutted as i know we were all looking forward to this little get together, what can i say?

I know a couple of you have booked hotel rooms, so if theres a deposit issue sens me a PM and i will sort it for you

I feel like a complete tit, please dont hold this against me

I am gutted for you, your daughter and her mates it is too bad that so many have pulled out so late meaning the event has had to be cancelled. Plus it would have been far more memorable to have them turned up in a fleet of Imprezas rather than some stretched yank tanks.

I am quite gutted for myself as well as I was looking forward to taking a drive up and having a go around the evo triangle plus some cracking roads through Mid Wales as well.

Never mind if they arrange some similar later in the year post up again and I am sure you will inundated with offers of help.

no mate, i did get together with a bunch of lads from this area (chester/north wales) and we had some cracking days out, the last one, too long ago now, i used 2 full tanks of fuel there was 12 of us regular but it seemed to fizzle out

i was just thinking of meeting at the broughton retail park, just by the tescos petrol station?? its just a quick run down the 55 to mold-ruthin and down to the triangle. what do you think?

hey steve the evo triangle that's the road thats goe's though llyn brenig forest is it not i travel that road 4 times a fortnight very nice road managed to get 115mph round most of it past the lake's we could all meet sacacen's tyre place just before the road to llyn brenig on the a5 near cerrig what do you think?

thought so i love that road it's amazing defo a 4wd road tight corners alternating hills , 45 degree blind summits plenty of air time know the road well hope you can keep up mate!

 

from rhyl you would approach from the denbigh moors, from chester i would normally go ruthin to cerrig

i think (as we are locals) we should see what the guys who live further away want to do?

ya i have driven that road before a few sheep down that road aswell you go passed the little boating lake at the top of the hill and turn left down the what i call the rally track obvisously not had 115mph on that one but again know the road fairly well be lucky to get 30 mph down there if you don't know the road!

I HAVE MADE A DESCISION re THE MEETING PLACE

The Sportsmans Arms Bryn Trillyn - LL16 5SW (according to google )

on the map the pub is located on the nothern part of the 'triangle' A543 at the top of the hill on the left if approaching from the south. 6.30 - 7pm meet time. if thats ok?




I suppose i will arrive at 7pm (ish) depending on everyone letting me know that the original meeting place (deeside college) is now scrapped. If i dont hear from all on the list i will be at the college for 6.30 as arranged so as i dont have someone sitting there waiting
