Hmmm

When did anyone say we don't need CO2 in the atmosphere? We could do with a few more trees though.

Which taxes do you mean less?

As why temps haven't increased in the past TWO years Not 10 btw, I don't know although there are theories about El Nino and Solar activity supressing global warming impacts. Of course it could all be a load of rubbish, but then again niether of us know enough to say either way. I'm just get riled by breath taking arrogance of people who just say it's not real, when they CANNOT POSSIBLY KNOW.

BTW just ask those folks in Australia battling fires and 46C temps about our cold summers!
Look up the term "fire ecology" and you might learn something about Australia, it's one reason why Australia is called "The scorched land". But you would have known that already. 46c temps are not unusual for Australia, during summer (Where I lived we had a 47c day in 2005), especially when you consider the prevailing wind conditions that lead to those temperatures in the south and south east.

Some of the major fires are now proven to have been started deliberately. There were NO significant fires in most of the region at the start of the w/e...but then all of a sudden there was a fire storm. 106 poeple dead, 750 homes gone, even some towns razed to the ground. I really hope these criminals get all the law can throw at them. Climate change my ***!!!

Regarding solar activity, well there's none right now, and has been that way for some time. Also, the Earth was at it's closest point to the Sun on Janunary 3rd.

These were rural communities, and although very sad, if you live in a forrest/bush, you will be at risk of fire (In a fire ecology, or "scorched land"). Environmentalists have banned back burning (Aborigines knew about this), they've banned the creation of fire-breaks (Until after the event. Now the Army is going in there to create some, go figure).

But most people are mostly stupid. If you live in a forrest in a hot dry country you will suffer fire damage. If you live in an earthquake prone zone you will suffer quake amage (16 million people in Istanbul). If you live below sea level, with poorly constructed water retention systems, in a severe weather zone you will suffer weather/flooding damage. If you live beneath an active volcano you will suffer volcanic damage (16 million people at the foot of Vesuvius in Naples). It's not if, but when these events will happen.

The Watts Up With That website has some very interesting links, facts and discussions. People would be well advised checking it out.

Now we have "experts predicting" worce fires in the futire due to "climate change". Anyone recall Katrina in 2005, and the "consensus" was worce hurricanes year on year? And it's not happened.

The problem in Australia is green groups. They lobbied Govn't to ban back burning and creating fire breaks. Sad now we have to react. Fire breaks being created.

Live in a forest, in a scorched land, expect fire.

Now, because of the "extremes" "experts" are claiming "climate change" is driving this. There are no facts on this however. No recognition of "manmade" ingnition, of course not.

Ok, now this is trucked up! This "event" is being blamed on "AGW". Forget the fact humans started fires...not sure how CO2 gets in here.
