The youngun has hit the nail on the head, you don't want a surprise at the hotel and have to pay for it out of your spending money

Also it works the other way, you can book now even if you haven't got the cash at the moment but will have by the time we go

One big problem

because we have booked and no money has been paid they may be double booked and the other person may have paid up or arrived before us.
this may result in turning up and being turned away cos there no room in the inn.
we need to be carefull guys

that is quite a concern to think 18 blokes turning up at the hotel, i think they will look for an excuse not to take us all. Hope i'm wrong.
