Lets be honest, both cars are the dogs, which is best is down to personal taste...
Personally I think Mitisibisihiii has far to many letter i's in it, it almost sound like Ferrarriri....CRAP!
Scooby-the original and in my humble, still the best!

I actually thought the program was ok...
I agreeded with what most of them said looks wise.. plz shoot that tosser who thought he was some crytic wtf Evolution how its evolved If i had the money I'd go for a drive in both. Running costs arn't much of an issue asI do bugger all millage. Basically what they said was ulitmate 4wd road car = mitsu.. bottom line.. I can't afford one.. I'll keep my scoob thanks
If I had the money.... Id have to drive both

Too be honest "There can only be ONE" and in this case it's the superlative EVO VII.
From a winning Silver EVO VII driver, formerly Blue EVO, who considered the STi, but couldn't live with its gross ugliness!

David,
Personal taste yes, but no sour grapes in the posting that the quote came from

Thanks - exactly the point I was making - the EVO may well be the better car, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. What is *better* anyway - personal opinion. Everyone's entitled to that.

The scoob and the Evo are both over 2 secs quicker to 60, the Saxo set off 5 secs earlier surely after a couple of short straights from handbraking round a bend both cars would have been right up the Saxo's ****

It does make you wonder.... as far as I can tell, motoring journalists are open to accepting a few jolly's in the interest of furthering the success of a car - and manufacturers exploit this to the full (except Subaru, perhaps?). I have often had the feeling that Driven stages many reports. Just a few weeks ago many people commented on the Civic beating the S2000 on the last corner of a track - what a load of bo77ocks - but I bet Honda are happy to flood the country with Civics whilst maintainig the exclusivity of the 2 seater.
Also, as soon as I saw those computer types going in the Subaru first (just 2 laps each remember) I new they would prefer the second car as they have probably never driven anything as quick as either car and it would take two laps for them to build up some bottle.
Driven started off as a good series but it is risking more people, like me, questioning its impartiality.
Still, at least its not got that big hairy tw@t Clarkson on it.

Virtually all previous EVO/SCOOB encounters have ended up with the same result, surely we're not surprised are we.
The scoob will always be the obvious choice for everyday use, but for weekend users, absolutely no contest!
Must admit the 22b i almost bought would have been my financial advisers choice!

Another classic driven feature was when they got a truck load of nerds and asked them if they prefered the ST24 Mondeo or the Vectra CDX, why not the GSi Vectra ? as they were much more closely matched.
Of course they chose the ST24 and slated the Vectra
I rate the Evo highly, but as I need to drive my car 7 days a week on motorways/B roads I chose the Scooby, If I had the money for a weekend toy then yes I would own an Evo.

You can submit a "user test" which I have done comparing the P1 I owned for a year an the test drive (33mls) I took before ordering mine.

Why are people mentioning WRC results? The WRC cars are different from the road cars and driver skill also plays a part.
However when both road going versions are put on the same track, driven by the same person, the EVO comes out on top. Yet you say that "if they were driven better"...the driver is an ex rally driver!!! I'm sure she knows how to drive a car. And the claims that the video was edited is just excuses also. Of course it was...to have a camera on every corner isn't possible so the same test has been done again and again...but I bet if it *was* done in one take you'd be saying that "oh they only did one run so the brakes weren't warmed up yet".
It was a fair test, the EVO came out on top. However, as has been said, it costs more and costs more to run. You get what you pay for.

Driven is getting much worse... the video editing and Penny's driving was interesting.
When it comes down to it we all have a choice, my was for the WRX over the EVO VI. My car is only a year old and it is coming up for the 22.5k service on Saturday. If I had taken the EVO I believe now I would have a fused spine and have spent more times in petrol stations and dealers getting services.
You pay your money, you take your choice.
Saying that apparently staged and edited footage along with seemingly biased reports and leading statements and questions when talking to the "randomly" selected public do cast doubts in my mind on any review/report.
These are my views and they would still be the same if Driven had chosen the STi over the Evo.

Normally in the Driven comparisons, they mention purchase price, depreciation, cost per mile, insurance etc. Did i miss this information in tonights edition?
Also, are the STi and EVO both "handbrake safe"? I thought that you could blow the diff by attempting to lock the rear wheels - not a good move from a so-called Rally Champion!
Both cars were very nice, but there was so much missing data that you can't make a fair comparison.
Driven is rapidly becoming Drivel.

Bloody hell you guys are pathetic, cant you guys admit that the evo was better than the scoob?!
It wasnt a fix the evo looked much faster.
I love scoobs dearly, but in standard form the evo is better.
