Scooby Ball 2009.....
For those of you intending to play in the sandpits sorry bunkers you may wish to either leave earlier or put back your T Off Time.
Sam & I came up at my usual cruising speed but the numerous Spec Cameras and traffic soon had us slowed down
The Club is quite new and swish and for those of you that reserved a Patio room it's quite cool. Even free WiFi too
Off for more beverages and a jacuzzi

Scoobyball 2009

Well i must admit & I'm sure that a few others will agree ( Phil as well ) that we was all rather skeptical as to how this ball was going to be .
With just 50% of the tickets sold it was not going to be heaving with people , i think Karyn said there was just 49 tickets sold , with a few last minute drop outs & not the massive Essex contingent that we have taken in previous years including some great ESC characters i was just a little nervy as to how this weekend would work out .
But boy oh boy how wrong was i !!
With the right people regardless of numbers it just shows what a brilliant time can be had , Karen & i had a fantastic day / night & will jump @ the chance of returning to the Bicester golf & country club again next year
Awesome hotel , great golf course , nice food , great company , ok the drinks were a little on the expensive side but i feel that you need to expect these prices @ these type of venue's
Massive thanks to Karyn & Kim & our Boss for putting on what i feel was the best Scoobyball to date , bearing in mind the time we had @ The Cambridge Belfry in 2006 i feel that's the biggest compliment i can pay
ROLL ON SCOOBY (summer
) BALL 2010
Pic's to follow later

Thats the plan
Of course as the hotel is now open next year is already booking for Weddings but we hope we can secure the last Saturday in June again
There was some thought about a later date as some people claimed holidays prevented them from coming [Not actually an issue with the Essex Crew to my knowledge] I do favour the Summer date though

As my first Scooby Ball all I can say is that it was fantastic
Hotel, golf, evening doo with great people was spot on
Definately favour the Summer if you get the weather.
Liquish sambuca was lovely but that green one was rank

That will be great , just get to tackle the golf course again knowing where we are going ( yes it does help
) As to regards the date - IMO how can you have a summer ball & not have it in the summer
chilling out in the evening sunset with a glass if Pimms is what it's all about
Those who moan about the dates seem to be the ones who moan & even when the date is changed still are unable to make it

from what i have read here & over the road

it seems that you will defiantly get this years 47 attendees back again so that's a great start & we still got a year to go
The SIDC Has got the Ball back on track = Proper venue , proper date , stick with it & SB 2010 Will be a success I'm sure
All IMHO of course
