12.28 @ 111mph with a 1.790 60ft time.
MY99 UK Turbo 2000
that was set a couple of years ago at scoobyshootout.
Have made a few tweaks since then so hopefully i can improve on that.
I'm planning on hitting the Pod on a RWYB day in early march as thats the only time off work i can see at the moment and shakespeare hasn't started up by then. Anyone else planning some more qtr ing?

Took my stock freshly imported V2 STi to a RWYB at Santa Pod
60ft 1.7990
1/8 ET 8.3981 @ 81.78
1/4 ET 13.2081 @ 102.73
Engine blew up on the way home, guess 18 runs didn't do it too good
Was on Yokohama snow tyres as well if that makes any difference?!

I did a 14.8 in my Punto GT, but crossed the line in neutral as I failed to engage 3rd to 4th

Peter - you got your original time slip for your 11 second 1/4?
Would love to see the original with your reaction time and 1/8 time.......

Interesting link Peter, especially when you click on your name and look at the other times you did that day.
What is your next fastest 1/4 after your 11.08? As looking at your other runs, it looks like the 11.08 was out of the ordinary (which can happen, aka as a "crisp packet" run).
Have you managed another time within 1% of your 11.08?
I only ask, because if it was a "crisp packet" run, you may be dissapointed when you get your car back, and you dont go faster, possibly slower than 11.08.
For example, last time i took my wagon down the 1/4, i did something like 11.12, 11.1, 11.08, 11.06, 11.04 then broke my gearbox again. This shows the car and me were consistent and the times werent "crisp packet" runs.
Hope you see where i am coming from.

Looking at it again, your 60ft time for that run looks dodgy as hell. A 1.4 60ft is Andy/Paul/Olly territory, on special drag tyres.
Having done more quarters than i care to imagine, finding 4 tenths over 60ft is odd on the same day and same setup, which i assume you were on.

Hmmm, those are interesting numbers Peter, I'm inclined to agree with Steven here. I'm no 1/4 expert, only tried it 3 times.
But we obviously do standing starts with measured 60' times on Hills and Sprints, sticky tyres and light cars. I've never got near that time for a 60' nor has anyone I know.
If I recollect Andy did an 11.09 in the spec C, that would be an interesting comparison !!
I think 1.4s - 60' at Crail in a full weight Newage on road tyres is 'dreaming' territory !! It defies the laws of Physics !!

Yes i know where you are coming from Steven and that was the last time i was on crail....my head gasket failure started that very day so i didn't do more runs than i would have liked.
But i'll be for sure to give it some when i get my car with a bit of weight losing too.
TBH...Crail is crap..its uphill then downhill!Surfaces are poor and timing is inconsistant but that is all we have up...hence why i want go to Santa Pod as it has much better surface and downhill too

But still a timed run is a timed run even tho it makes you dream a bit and that is all we can go from.
Drag it!
So long as you are under no illusion that your 11.08 was a genuine time, i just didnt want you losing weight out of the car, getting more power and then still not achieving a 10 as i think you have inferred you want/expect out of your car when you get it back.
I have only run my wagon at Santapod once, back in July 2006, where i ran 11.21 or 11.22 in all my runs, until i broke Andy's modena gear box. When you are sat on the start line there, the 1/4 mile in front of you isnt down hill
The flatest i have run at is York Raceway.
Going from your 11.6/11.8's to a 10 is a huge jump in car development/setup. I hope your targets are right

Agreed with the above. 1.4s 60ft on a road setup isn't going to happen.
The 1% rule is to eliminate timing errors such as this.
Still some very respectable correctly timed runs there

And they sweep the track for crisp packets

Well I'm at Zen on the 2nd May for my last tweak and I will be in santa pod on the 3rd May to see what it can do with my new power
There doesn't appear to be much time to do runs in so I hope I'm not sitting in a queue limiting my boost when the engine gets warm.

This thread is pointless without printouts!!!
Anyone can make up a time!!
I personally managed a 13.21 with a fairly standard STi 4 Type R at Santa Pod
People who are saying that they got low 13's for a standard wrx, lets see your slip!!!

TBH I know that 11.08 is an issue timed run but that was the ONLY good run i had.All the other runs had missed gear/bog down/too much wheel spin etc but the terminal speed of 130mph must indicate what potential might have.
Can anyone suggest what possible time i might get with a TS 130+mhp in a newage?
