Now that is a good idea.
Having recently met Les I must say is that he really is a lovely, genuine chap with so many fantastic and interesting stories to tell it would be a shame if they weren't all recorded, as I am sure it would be lovely for others to read about his adventures in the RAF.

Missed these first time round myself .. what an awesome life you've had .. I'm genuinely impressed. Not that some spammer on a forum being impressed will mean anything to you, but this must be what its like for normal people to come close to a celebrity
Les is a spiffing chap ... a bit messed up in the head over his Political leanings, but, nevertheless, a thoroughly decent chap.
Not wanting to take the thread away from Les, but as an aside .... my grandchildren always ask me about the wars and my military career.
I showed them my old rifle a few years ago, they wanted to know more - and see more - so, I dug my medals out of the cupboard ...... they were enthralled, begging for more ... I found my old helmet and that wasn't enough for little Billy, no - he wanted to see MORE!!
I said, "Look, Billy, I have my old trenchcoat" ..... "But it's in the Loft over the Tank"

He was a right looker in his younger days too
Never ever had a "moosh" in spite of what everyone thinks, so I am the other one!
DYK, we were doing low flying exercises in Italy once and we were able to fly past Monte Casino which is on the side of a mountain, and we were able to go past looking up and waving at them!
If he is around he might enjoy hearing that.
