Will take some video and immortalise it on Youtube, My wife's brothers did the same twenty odd years ago, Allegro's and I hate to say it, they ruined a couple of 2 door MK2 Escorts, one they thought was a good candidate for turning into a cabriolet and wondered why it bent in the middle, the other died when jumped over the mound in the field and stopped very quickly, an original Mini died at their hands as well, in fact when I first met my wife, she lived in the cottage (its a farm) and outside the kitchen window was a complete Mini engine, subframe and gearbox with weeds growing through it, classy !

I will keep my eyes peeled for a RWD car as I think that should be the next step, should get a few months out of this, I am not going to let them destroy it, if it breaks I will either fix it or call the scrap man but now we have a car there a president has been set !

 

i've had 2 metros the first one was a k reg 1.1 carb which i blew up on the way to the essex arena ( i was planning on racing my mates R5 GTT ) 2nd was a 1.1i n reg which i kept for about 2 years before the immob decided it had enough, i done quite a few one off mods on that aswell my fave was turning the ashtray into a hidden iPod dock . i always fancied putting in a Honda B16 lump into it like they do on minis but had to get rid before i had the chance and funds
