Davyboy,
Morette Headlights Colour Coded (around £450 inc VAT + Fitting)
GRP Colour Coded Vents (around £125 inc VAT + fitting)
WRC Style Rear Spoiler (around £750 inc paint VAT + fitting) - cheaper ones out there but I like this one.
Hi Level Brake Light to go with above (around £70 inc VAT + Fitting)
Rear bumper lip (around £225 painted inc VAT + fitting)
Front Spoiler Lip Colour Coded (around £200 inc VAT + fitting)Colour Coded Side skirts (around £300 the pair inc VAT + fitting)
Suspension (around £250 fitted)
STi Fog Light Covers Colour Coded (around £200 inc VAT + fitting)
And last but not least - some decent wheels..lets say 17" OZ superleggeras with Toyo Tyres - Id say around £1,500 for the lot.
Now that adds up to a whopping £4,070. Admittedly a little under grand off my initial figure but as that was off the top of my head it wasnt bad - add to that total the insurance premium increase for all these mods and the petrol used to get to TSL or similar then we are getting closer.
And I didnt say I wouldnt spend this on the old shape turbo - just that for someone on a tight budget like me Id prefer to spend this sort of money on a cheaper car and do it up. The final result would look better too IMHO.
Edited to correct some of my typos!

Not "have" to, but I think I would "want" to if I was gonna get it looking how I wanted. Probably a bit less if I looked around or bought bits together but you get the general idea. Im noy saying that everyone would do this - some wouldnt spend a penny more on their cars looks and I wouldnt expect them to, but each to their own.

Anyway, with a new model coming out next year, the new age one will become an 'old' one too...perhaps it'll turn into the VW GTi thing, where there are so many models and no one seems to care unless its a GTi. (Not that I care about GTi's!!)

IMO a standard MY01WRX goes round corners better than a standard MY00, but not better than a bump steer modded MY00. Saying that I'm talking about the public highway, I have not taken my bugeye on track yet.

If you're looking for a MY 01 shape, then you can only go for a STI model, standard one is not worthy.Otherwise you go for an old shape model without wasting any money, but remember:if you choose this one you'll have to keep it as longer as you can otherwise your money is burnt
